NO, it will not..... atleast its HIGHLY unlikely. them overcoming parvo is even more powerful a "vaccine" than a "vaccine" its self. think about what a vaccine really is....

give them pedialyte but please do no overhydrate! it can make it worse! ALSO most importantly do not overfeed them! it will cause a relapse almost everytime. stick to more chicken broth the actual ckn/rice "bland diet" also give them lots of vitamin c!!

Parvo can be treated, but many, many puppies still die from it. It is very serious. As to re-infection, I think that depends on the dog and how well they've built up an immune response. I would not take chances. Do not take them in public places until the vet says it's ok. Also, ask your vet if you can buy some parvosol (I think that's how it's spelled) it's a spray, sold to vet hospitals that they use to kill parvo on surfaces. Parvo is very stubborn and your average household cleaners may not do the trick. I would definitely ask about it.

Like another poster said, don't worry about annoying your vet. Parvo is serious, and they know that, they won't be annoyed by a concerned owner.

Depends upon how badly the dog got it. If it barely got sick, got better in a couple days, then yes, possibly. If it was horribly ill, stayed for a few days at the vets & took time to recover, then no. The degree of the parvo case determines how many antibodies your pet will become immune to. The actual vaccine that your dog (puppy) is recieving is the dead virus. It's given in little doses at the beggining so that it doesn't make a puppy sick. That way, the pup's system has time to build up the proper antibodies to the virus. However, if they get sick in the middle of it, or aren't recieving any vaccines, then that overwhelmes their system & it starts mass producing antibodies.

If they survive it, maybe However parvo is now everywhere the dogs have been. It can live in your house and yard for years. People can carry it and spread it to other dogs. Infected dogs can be carriers.

There is no reason to worry about it if you properly, thoroughly disinfect the household to prevent reinfection and get the pups properly vaccinated. Parvo is completely avoidable, if you take proper precautions- will be harder around for you, this time, if they can re-catch it (I'm not sure) as it'[s already been in your house. Ask your vet, and ask for instructions on how to prevent reinfection, as well as prevent other animals in your household or area from getting it. Make sure you get every bit of info you can from the vet about safety to prevent parvo- don't worry about 'annoying' him, worry about keeping your animals safe.

yes. parvo is very deadly in puppies and makes adult dogs very sick as well. it is also highly contagious. make sure your dog is vaccinated and you disinfect everything. bleach anything that can be bleached, such as crates and floors. make sure you get immediate veterinary care if your dog exhibits symptoms! keep your dog quarantined as this is a huge puppy killer and you may unintentionally transmit it with your shoes
