I have a 14 week old English Mastiff and a friend of mine has a 12 week old Bullmastiff. There is a huge difference in size. My dog (Major) is considerably larger than the BullMastiff. Can you tell me what the average, full grown size is for both?

BULL MASTIFF

Size--Dogs, 25 to 27 inches at the withers, and 110 to 130 pounds weight. Bitches, 24 to 26 inches at the withers, and 100 to 120 pounds weight. Other things being equal, the more substantial dog within these limits is favored. Proportion--The length from tip of breastbone to rear of thigh exceeds the height from withers to ground only slightly, resulting in a nearly square appearance.

ENGLISH MASTIFF

This breed is powerfully built, with a massive body, broad skull and head of generally square appearance.

The size should be very large and sound and give an impression of power and strength when viewed from any angle. The body is massive with great depth and breadth, especially between the forelegs, causing these to be set wide apart. While no height or weight is specified for this breed, the approximate height is 27 inches to 32 inches (70 to 80 cm) and weight is 80 kg to 90 kg (175 to 200 lb).

English Mastiffs are generally much larger than Bullmastiffs. Infact, the English Mastiff is the largest breed of dog in the world.

The English Mastiff will be a larger dog, by 30 or 40 pounds (male).

bodily: The Bull mastiff's shorter, extra compact, extra muscular look, shorter muzzle and better capability point Mentally: Mastiffs have a mellower, extra comfortable temperament, whilst in comparison with the pushier, extra lively temperament of the common Bull mastiff. The Mastiff's brow could be slightly curved and the indentation between the eyes is properly marked yet no longer too abrupt jointly as the Bullmastiff's brow could be flat and the indention reasonable.
