Do international students (computer science (masters)) get :-

a) financial aid upon reaching columbia university? OR,
b) get a campus job?

This is definitely the wrong place to ask that question. You must call the financial aid office at Columbia and ask them. THat is the only way you can get an authoritative answer.

In general, international students who are undergraduates cannot get much financial aid. Graduate students may get aid if they have a skill that can be useful to the university (like computing, or being an aid in the biology lab, etc.) You probably cannot legally work in the US as a student, since you do not have the proper visas. Many students do find low-paying jobs, say, in a restaurant as a waiter or in the kitchen, and get away with it if they keep quiet and stay out of trouble.
