I just wanna know why they are always "Christian" bashing. Isn't this religion and spirituality? Atheists are neither religious or spiritual. I don't even think they should be in this "Answer" section since they have no religion or spiritual side to them.
And, why aren't they bashing the Islamics, Buddhists, Jews, etc.? It's always the Christians---what's up with that? You know why I think--because we Christians won't cut their heads off. They ought to thank God that that is not the Christian way.

1. I care what they think because I hate to think that anyone is missing out on the answers that science has to offer, and I hate to think that some of them are blinding others to the truth.
2. If some atheists seem angry, they're probably just being passionate about whatever they're talking about.
3. Same reason why they might seem upset.
4. I would say as many atheists as Christians experience peace in their lives.
5. I don't think atheists as a group are afraid of anything in particular, beyond normal human fears.

If you 'know the answer', why do you ask?
Is this a passive aggressive baiting question?
Or am I to take it from your last sentence that you're in some way being smug? You know, Pride is a Sin.
Oh, that's right, you're pre-forgiven, so simple courtesies don't apply.
Angry and hostile? Threats of Hell, Damnation, and even physical violence from Christains, aimed at 'Atheists', which I assume means everyone who doesn't attend Your particular church are just breezy conversation, aren't they?
Upset? No. No more than your righteous indignation, or that of your fellow travellers is 'upset'.
Has arguing a point of view become non-PC?
Since when did Christians become the people of Peace and Love? Read R&S. They're hate mongers.
I have plenty of peace in my life. Do I need to explain to you how to find peace? Are you lacking?
What am I afraid of? Not you, not your lies, not your hate.
I'm afraid you'll get yourselves hurt when you pick a fight you can't win, and people like me will have to protect people like you.
You have a nice safe little suburban existence because men like me have proven that the 'no atheists in foxholes' lie is just that.
A lie.

So many generalizations, so little time... I'm so far from angry and "hostile" you can't imagine. Actually I'm saddened that a group of people who carry around one narrow view, which logically not everybody shares, tries so hard to impose it upon others, while causing harm and suffering in the process. Whether you're an arrogant, ignorant unkind person who uses Christianity or Islam, and/or any other religion to further your ego-ridden agenda, you're going to be met with opposition until you cultivate a calmer, altruistic, compassionate mind and start leaving other people alone.
Remember, we're not living in an informational vacuum. If people want to become Christian they'll come running to you. Follow your Christ, study, become much kinder, altruistic, wiser, compassionate and otherwise and you'll find yourself soaked in a lot more peace of mind.

This is a very generalized question. Not all Atheists are the same, and not all of them react the same to everything. Just like christians.... they may all be drones programmed to think the same thing, but they do not act the same way.
Personally, I do not get "angry" with christians until they start playing their typical "you're going to hell" card. When their faith is questioned, and their beliefs are regarded to as myth because there is NO SOLID PROOF behind them... they have no solid basis for an argument.
"Don't they experience peace in their lives?"
What an arrogant question! As if christians are the only ones who experience peace. Just because we get angry with arrogance & ignorance coming from the christian regime, that does not mean we do not experience peace. You hate, segregate, judge, condemn people that you do not even know & you allow your "good book" to give you comfort for your "peaceful" lives.... even though you are not adhering to the "rules" that your book describes.
We are not afraid of anything..... we are just sick of all the ignorance & intolerance that we are faced with when dealing with people like you. Murderers & liars who hide behind a 2000+ year old book & claim that their behavior is god's will....even though you are told to treat others as you would like to be treated.... and to "turn the other cheek."

You don't believe you are hostile when you disagree with someone who doesn't agree with you, so why do you think atheists are hostile because they disagree with you? You can't possibly know the answer because your stereotyping is incorrect. We are not angry people. The majority of us in fact have more peace in our lives since we've let go of religion. We are not afraid as you think we are. We have less fear knowing we are able to think for ourselves. It's a shame you have such a negative opinion of people who do not have a belief in a deity.

I'm not angry or upset- I will admit that I do get annoyed with the closed- mindedness of some people, but I really am a very peaceful person. I think it's easier to be at peace with yourself and your life when you don't feel that you have someone constantly judging you and tallying it up to see where you go after death

Many "Christians" are angry, hostile, and always seem upset, because reality does not support their doctrines. They experience no peace in their lives since they lie to support those doctrines. They are afraid to admit their myriad lies.

If you 'know the answer' because you have glanced at the disgraceful, dangerous, hostile, immoral lies spread about science by many "Christians" here then you are right. Otherwise you are wrong.
Here's a thought. Why don't the real Christians stand up against the lying bigoted ones instead of us always having to do it??

I am an atheist.
I don't care what christians think or do as long as they do not infringe upon my rights (e.g. inserting their religion into laws) or insult me in public (e.g telling me that I will go to hell).
I am not angry or hostile, or upset, and I have achieved peace in my life, by letting go of the fear of death associated with god-beliefs. By becoming an atheist, I can share with you that it has given me a very clear vision of my responsibilities to the people that I love and to myself.
