Is the devil dumb enough to buy something he knows you don't own?

It is a trick of the devil out there. Some have sold their soul for the devil thinking the devil will make them rich if they sing the devils destructive message, etc.
The reality is that the devil never keeps his part of the bargain. And the person will end up in hell fire for rejecting Gods Redeeming Grace. But the person isn't bound to any contract with the devil. Because the devil doesn't keep his part. The devils a liar & doesn't know how to keep his part. So, a person can repent to God for not believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God as Savior & Lord, even on their death bed to receive the gift of eternal life.

By default, as a member of the human race you are already claimed by the devil. The real hope of anyone that gets it is the freedom from your innate slavery. Only a few though will break free. The devil is rather clever and wouldn't buy something from a seller that doesn't own it, but most humans are rather dumb and won't accept something priceless that's actually free.
Tsk, tsk, the tragedy of the race.

The soul encompasses a person's essence. That essense includes choices and those choices (behavioral mental or physical) determines whether a soul has gone over to the other side. In the Bible a city was destroyed but a family was saved because they were not devoid of saving. Lot's wife was told what was about to happen and not to look but her curiosity got the best of her and she looked, she was turned into a pillar of salt. Logic says we are 100 % people but it doesn't determine which way or how much of ourselves can be tempted.

You cannot sell your soul to the devil - he / she don't exist. You will just have to be bad in your own time and take full responsibility for your own actions.

You misunderstand.
Due to sin, Satan already has a claim on every soul, right from the time of it's conception.
The only remedy for that, is faith in Jesus Christ, and baptism into his church.
Otherwise, you belong to Satan ... forever!

you can't. But satan figures that if he can't have your soul then nobody will, so he tries to destroy it. That is why he is called
Abaddon and Appollyon.
