Lincoln would have had her in jail long time ago. So would Roosewelt.
"providing aid and comfort to the enemy" is the paragraph.

Okay what drugs are you smoking?

It seems you have forgotten your civics class. We have separate BUT EQUAL branches of government.
If it means that someone will start a dialogue well good for her. The Bush high school clique mentality crap of " you can't talk to that person" has not worked.
Diplomacy worked for the Brits in freeing the 15 soldiers, the jack boot approach that would have been taken by the President would not have. It would have lit the match to the already smoldering powder keg that is the Middle East.
You are also a stinking hypocrite along with this President.
He did not open his mouth and castigate a soul when the 3 REPUBLICANS, Frank Wolf of Virginia, Joseph Pitts of Pennsylvania and Robert Aderholt of Alabama, went to Syria last week and met with Assad . Are they treasonous too? or do they get a pass because they are Republican? I guess Arlen Specter is treasonous too?
What previous efforts from the proper channel of government? You mean the " I'm not talking to you so Bleahh!!!" ( stick out tongue) is that what you mean? Get over it.

This not an issue of what Pelosi has done. It is not the responsiblity of the speaker of the house or any other legislator to undermine the position of the Secretary of State or the president in meddling in foreign affairs. A legislatures position is to create policy for this country. That is what they were voted in for. The entire Federal Government is in need of an overhaul. For far too long have members of the Government pushed the boundaries of what there job duties are and no one has held them accountable. It is no different then you are a manager and your employees are going out side of there job-descriptions and doing things they feel are for the "good of the company" that does not make it right. The managers are just as at fault as the employees. We as a people need to start forcing the members of government to do the jobs we voted them in to do or get them out. There is nothing treasonous about what she has done. It is just bad government that has been going on for a few decades and will not change until we stand up to them.

Both parties are to blame. Pelosi should be careful, the military has never looked kindly on people touching their monies. Bush needs to let a competent person run the war. The administration failed on soo many issues right off, that they made this the mess it is. Their biggest mistake was disbanding the Iraqi army, and putting all those soldiers on the street with no job and nothing to lose. Its been a h@ll hole since that very day.

Give it a freakin rest, for crying out loud.

Jump in the ring if you think you can do better, and be ready to take the grilling that you are so eager to dole out.

Not ready to jump in the ring?

Didn't think so.

Come up with some constructive suggestions and stop whining, name calling and being a jerk.

You are the problem with this country. You are the reason the world thinks we are a bunch of fools, for turning on ourselves, our government, our leaders, and our allies.

Do something good with your day. Change the point of view of one person, for the better.

Anyone can incite a riot, flame the fires of hatred and create dissention, it's easy, child's play.

It take a responsible, thoughtful and mature adult to ask a question or provide a comment that actually contributes something worthwhile to this world.

BE THAT PERSON TODAY

NO NO NO....sometimes women can make inroads into political matters better than a man..IF anything, we should applaud the courageous efforts of PELOSI for taking it upon herself to venture into territory that THE PRESIDENT has failed to do...meet face to face with our advesaries. WE all have things in common, why not try to build on commonalities rather than find the differences. I GIVE HER THE HIGHEST praise I can give to anyone in our present government. DIPLOMACY shows the marks of a real STATE's PERSON not a political animal which has been the present strategy for this administration...WE live in a community of diverse thinkings and we must learn that THE US is not the final say in what each country should be doing. If my neighbor paints his house pink, that is his right, and if I don't like it...I can drive around the block but who am I to criticize him with my blue house...

Due to Prsident Bush's lack of leadership and diplomacy

Pelosi being the third in line to the presidency had to step up to the plate, as W has been ignoring the Iraq Study Group that specifically says we should engage the Syrians and Iranians in finding a diplomatic solution to this crisis

HOWEVER
As we all know from past experience George W Bush
likes to play the Cowboy and go it alone (like the war itself)

ERGO we have Nancy Pelosi doing the job that this idiot does not have sense to do nor does his inept Sect. of State Condolezza Rice.
this is precisely why THE REPUBLICAN SENATORS went before her!!! (did you get mad about that?)

In reporting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is planning a visit to Syria accompanied by a bipartisan congressional delegation this week, several media outlets highlighted White House criticism of Pelosi's trip but did not note that a Republican-led delegation met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on April 1 -- nor did they note the White House's inconsistency in criticizing Pelosi for her trip but remaining silent on the GOP-led visit.

Indeed, on April 1, Reps. Frank Wolf (R-VA), Joseph R. Pitts (R-PA) and Robert Aderholt (R-AL) traveled to Damascus and met with Assad, two days before Pelosi's scheduled trip, as did Arlen Spector (R) earlier in the fall of 2006.
She needed to go before BUSH came up with another pack of lies !!!!

I think you've forgotten what the proper channels of government was like. For the last 7 years we've had Darth Vader and the Sith Master in office. And "Eat at Denny's" Hasbert in congress. They have used the "system" of checks and balances in their favor since they were the majority and they've crapped all over Americans. Pelosi is just trying to take back the things Bush has done un constitutionally.

I hear that Senator Clay from Kentucky had some skeletons, perchance we could desire to consistently start up an analyze, he's been ineffective for one hundred sixty years yet whats up whats the distinction.

Yes, and for the record, I think ANYONE who visits a country that is in a de facto state of war with us--I believe that Iran and Syria are seriously involved in the killing of American troops in Iraq--is guilty of treason. Not just Pelosi. Would anyone have done this to Reagan? I think not.

"Proper Channel" don't make me laugh. Undermining what? A President who is a failure and has no idea of what Diplomacy is? Nancy Pelosi has become a shining example of peaceful diplomacy, humility and reason. Bush is a shining example of war, deceit and arrogance.
