This logic is completely ignored when people claim that Christians commit atrocities. If it doesn't walk like Jesus, doesn't talk like Jesus, but calls itself a Christian, it's not a Christian, just a hypocrite pretending to be one. True Christians follow Jesus. I hope you recognize that.

I hear some Christians voicing their concerns and i want you to know that I hear them and agree. I'm not talking about the Christians that occasionally blow it like Peter and the disciples. I'm talking about people who live their lives threatening people into submission to Christ. Jesus is clear, "the kingdom is not taken by force....not all who claim my name will enter the kingdom"

By those words you realize you eliminated 90% of Christians as being non-Christian.

Not disagreeing...just hope you realize this.

I saw a comment about not judging Christians - well that is the very same reason why Islam has not said anything against the terrorists.

We should point out and fight evil - regardless if they claim to be one of our own.

Jesus IS perfect without sin in all His ways. His own disciples were not even perfect, Mary his mother was not perfect, and no one is perfect except Christ. For example, if some one spit in your eye how quick will you be to forgive them. Christians are commanded to forgive quickly and completely but we, like all people, struggle to do it. It isn't impossible but it is a struggle! So simply because a Christian isn't able to easily forgive, love with out condition, walk in a consistent state of peace etc. they are hypocrites? But what do you say about the people who don't believe in Christ who are blatantly foul mouthed, hateful, violent, and just down right mean and evil? Are they allowed and excused as such just because they are not Christian? A hypocrite is one who professes the name of Christ yet does not love God, know His word, or even witness to others about Christ. A true Christian, no matter how imperfect they are will at least do that.

Well, since you didn't really ask a question I'll just prattle on without actually answering anything. Your point IS a good one but there's still that 15-30% of America that would gladly call themselves evangelical Christians who look at polls like that in Newsweek last week that say 80% of America identifies itself as Christian and asserts that that's 80% that *should* agree with them. They don't really feel any obligation to convince that 80% that they're right, they assume they know. They only look for ways to bludgeon that other 20% into submission (politically).

If true Christians follow Jesus than it doesn't follow that being bad makes them not a Christian... they are just doing a bad job at it.

So, those guys carrying swords around the middle east 1000 years ago, the ones who killed in the name of God and whom you owe the gratitude of spreading your religion - those werent real christians, huh?

Man, I wish there were still a few around for you to say that to face to face. They'd have run you through with their blades, in the name of Jesus. And, "real" christians dont judge others. Guess you aint a real Christian yourself.

I don't know. I have seen the Foster Farms commercial enough times to know that if it claims to be a duck there are plenty of people who are quite willing to listen to it quack and eat it anyway.

Even you follow every steps of Jesus, he cannot take your to heaven. You must know why Jesus did it and you forget yourself to do good to others and may be sacrefied to others. This is really a Jesus spirit. The imitation of Hollyman will not be Hollyman at all.

Your logic does not follow your point. The duck is delusional. Christ still exists but we are still sinners, even forgiven sinners but still sinners. We fall short of the glory of God. We cannot and will not all be Gandhi or Mother Teresa. We are ourselves warts and all.

That's a bit of a cop out. "If you don't like it, we won't take credit for it." Were all the hateful things Martin Luther said of Jews part of the Protestant tradition "True" Christians would claim?

Jesus said several times the old prophets and laws count. I have read the Old Testament and atrocities are all through it. I think that it fits perfectly.
