My question is can we write off the move on our taxes?

Only the amount you were not reimbursed for. If they paid for everything, you can't write anything off. Amounts in box 12 are not subject to income tax.

Unless they included the reimbursement in box 1, then no, you can't write it off since YOU weren't the one paying it. If they did include the total in box 1, then yes, you could.

If the code for box 12 is P, this means that the cost of the move was not included in your income, so you would not be able to deduct it, as the employer paid the expense not you.
