She's just 'chattering'. Cats do that all the time when they see something they'd like to chase. Its just her way of saying she's excited and wants to have fun. You could try dragging a string along the ground in front of her or tossing a toy to get her to play. I'm sure she'd love the attention.

It's an eagerness/hunting response noise. She's telling you that she spotted prey and is ready to go get it should the opportunity arise.
My younger cat makes the same noise when he sees birds or squirrels. My older cat doesn't make the noise, but stalks the prey better. :)

all cats tend to do this from time to time. When my cat did it i asked y veternarian and he said that cats make this noise because its a hunting noise. Sometimes if they are an outside cat they can lure a bird into their reach by making that sound. its normal, nothings wrong.

she's squaking at the birds or other animals... it's their way of seeing an animal that they want. a lot of times they will start to flap their tail. it just means that they're really excited about what they're seeing. nothing wrong with it... i have one that always does it and she's starting to do it at ants since the weather is getting warmer...

Like us, the kitty is getting excited to see, something it eenjoys for whatever reason and, begins to vocalize about that. It's kinda the equivelent I think, of when we 're eating something we really like, and say "Yum!" as a result. That's my opinion of the subject!!
