Everytime I uninstall a program it seems that my hard drive is not freeing some disk space, so maybe the uninstall files is still there on my hard drive, if thats the case where does it is stored or is Windows Vista is just like that, please need your help

It all depend on how large the file is, it maybe a very little amount of space that is freed up. Also don't forget to run disk cleanup and disk defrag. Disk cleanup will remove unimportant things that take up space, and disk defrag will reorganize the disk and sometimes freeing up a tiny bit of space/

Depends on the software...I can't say for Vista, I'm still on XP, but I've found several little boogers who were so darned brazen as to leave their original folders out in c:\program files\... You might also find stuff in c:\swsetup\
