Killing and oppression and conquest have been the norm throughout the history of mankind. Of course you are right that people of colour have suffered at the hands of Europeans. But think of the many other examples: Blacks conquered rival tribes and sold their prisoners to Muslim slave traders. Genghis Khan swept across Asia and into Europe. The Japanese in the 1930s conquered much of China and Southeast Asia and killed millions. No one race has a monopoly on brutality and oppression.

God is not hateful because it does not likely exist.
But people are prejudiced and rationalize their bias or hatred using religion and the idea of an all-powerful god.
So you could say humans made god in their own image, not the other way around.

For the record, White people have suffered too!
But I want to tell you, I have some serious questions for Jesus when He returns.
I mean like everyday when I get on this Yahoo! Answers thing there is always somebody with stupid questions about Black people.
And I have so-called men running away from me in the store parking lot at night because I am Black and I am only 5 feet tall.
And all the other BS I put up with EVERYWHERE I go and not to mention the worse stuff my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents put up with...
I want to ask Him why ANYBODY is suffering like this...

You must not know history too well. Europeans were slaves of other Europeans throughout antiquity. The plight of black slaves in America is rather recent in the context of ancient history. And what does God have to do with the experience of black slaves? Are you telling me if you went out, by your free choice, and harmed another individual that it would be God's fault?
I recommend the recent movie "Amazing Grace" to you. It was due to the efforts of passionate Christians that the slave trade industry eventually ended.

God gaves us the power of free will so it is the fault of the whites that coloured-people suffered. This life is supposed to be a test to see how devoted you are to your beliefs and there has to be doubt in order for their to be belief so if God helped you everytime you came across a problem then there wouldn't be any doubt.

Let's be realistic. The divide between the races is both sides' fault. If black people wanted to truly be treated equally, they would not refer to themselves as African -Americans in the U.S. They would admit that racial quotas and "affirmative action" are in fact reverse discrimination. White people should quit making assumptions about black people. All hiring would be done by reviewing qualifications mainly, and interviews would be given and analyzed by a third party, who would have no idea which candidates were male or female or what race, religion, or sexual orientation the candidates are. And for the record, why did African tribes think it was acceptable to enslaves members of other African tribes and then trade them to Europeans? Quit whining and start doing something about it. Maybe you could start by referring to yourselves as humans, not blacks, or Americans, not African-Americans. I'm an atheist, and I am an American. Leave your complaints at the door.

Your observation is absolutely correct. In the Americas alone about 50,000,000 indian perished. Then about 11,000,000 Africans were imported to work the sugar/tobacco plantations.
There were many protests, even among the Catholics. John Wessley broke coffe cups to prevent people from using sugar.
God knew about this and predicted the predomant affenders:

Slow down there, kiddo. You need to learn more history. "White people" have been enslaved by black people too, although it happened thousands of years ago. And, there are still places in the world that have slavery, and white people don't run those places. Your statement is not accurate.

I don't know - why don't you ask the Jews and Christians - why is it that non-white people always blame their situations on the white people. Just for your information Jesus was white and he created you and I - except I was not like the one who had one talent and went out and buried it - I went out and made my one talent into hundreds.
