Do you really want to know which parts of the Bible actually ARE true and which parts aren't? Study archaeology - it shows that some parts of the Bible are indeed historically accurate, and some are not. Also, you have to realize that the original Bible has been translated and transcribed so many times that it isn't exactly the same document that it was 2,000 years ago. For one thing, the word "adam" means "mankind" in Hebrew, thus "God created Adam" means "God created mankind", but most people don't know that. If you study the history BEHIND the Bible, it makes it a lot more interesting, and will make the stories in it much more enlightening.

I don't fight or try not to. If someone has a question about an R&S subject and it bothers them that they don't have an answer, and I think I can help them then, I'll tell them how I found my answer and how it helped me. Whether this is useful to them or not, I don't know. But, I'm being sincere and at least I tried to help that person find an answer.
Plus there are so many different Christian religions that simply exist (I believe) to keep Christians divided from each other. This "Christian Problem" may also cause hostility. To reduce this hostility, everyone must come to the conclusion that more than one religion CAN be right. Everyone is supposed to respect each others belief system or lack there of, anyway.
To Princess: Have you not been in the R&S section in a while? There IS "infighting" everyday. I consider myself a Christian and had to tolerate other Christians telling me (a Gnostic Christian) that I was wrong for believing in Jesus the "way" I do and that I was wrong for NOT believing EVERY word in the Bible. The Bible was written by "men" and "men" are "flawed." The Bible was not written by the "Hand of God" and therefore, should not be taken literally, in my opinion.

"So why all the fighting to feel more secure."
If Christians are fighting it is only in defense! Non believers of Christ come out so strong and full of hate, criticism, and ridicule. We are never given a chance to have a mature and peaceful conversation explaining why we believe as we do. Instead non believers want to throw insults, swear at us, and say all sorts of derogatory things that can incite a fight. Christians have no intention to fight. We are commanded by God to teach, witness, and walk in love. But we are not door mats! You won't catch any Christian simply allowing someone to demean, or step all over them without defending themselves. Maybe, if non believers would just ask the question and accept the answers without wanting to provoke a fight then there would be no fights at all!

Let us put it this way. Do you believe our Universe, and ALL it contains including life, must have created by a supreme form of energy we call God? If you do not, then you do not have to believe the Bible is true, either.
But, if you do, you may as well start considering it is a set of books that have indeed been written by humans (some believe dictated by God, others do not) to try to explain their coetaneous, according to their own oral traditions, what such God expect of us. This applies to the Old Testament.
But then, we have the New Testament, which is basically the narration of Jesus’ life. And if you may believe that He is a like a messenger from God itself (actually Its Son) incarnated as a man and crucified to redeem Mankind of its sins, then you must accept that what He says in the Gospels, His teachings, His messages are meant to show us the path we have to follow to save ourselves.
This said, I honestly think that as Jesus came to us, as I say, to save us, all of us who carry a normal life, trying to do well and are tolerant with other people’s beliefs, will benefit of that redemption, whether Christians or not, as long as their honest with themselves.
As for your remark concerning the use of religion to fight and kill you should not forget that this is entirely the fault of those who are supposed to speak of love but speak, instead, of hate.
There cannot be different Gods or different Jesus. God Almighty must be unique or it would not be God. As for the historical figure of Jesus there was only one, the same who dictated the Word to his Apostles, his Word that reached us in the form of Gospels.
But, throughout history, there have been many who have used religion as a tool (a powerful one) to satisfy their ambitions and their lust for power. In every religion. Christianity too. Now, you have the fundamentalist Moslems, who follow the orders of their priests who use their Holy Book Al-Koran but interpret it the way is most useful for them.
And yet, their God is the same God we have, and the same God the Jews have, and the same God every other religion has, for there can be only one God.
So think of that. Whatever wrong religions have brought to man is the work of man, NOT the work of God.

while God replaced into creation each and every thing, God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost have been all there mutually. Genesis one million:And God pronounced, enable us to make guy in our image, after our likeness: and enable them to have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the chicken of the air, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over each and every creeping element that creepeth upon the earth. Did you notice the place this scriptures says :enable us to make guy in OUR image after OUR likeness". All 3 have been there mutually. So why is it so stressful to have self assurance that Jesus replaced into around earlier Abraham. Genesis 2:4 those are the generations of the heavens and of the earth while they have been created, interior the day that our lord god made the earth and the heavens, Do you notice back right here the place Jesus replaced into there throughout the creation technique?

How can you prove that? You can't just as people can't prove there is a God so at least be open to other possibilities instead of judging. I personally believe that there is far more evidence supporting my beliefs than against and my Jesus is everyones Jesus but if you don't agree with me thats your problem.

Well, its not Religion that fighting, its man. You can say all you want about how christians operate because you group us all together with the misinformed and the quasi-believers and the even the misleaders. Ill make you a deal. Ill group every man together with pedophiles because men are the ones who mostly commit to pedophilia and all women to prostitutes since they are the ones who are mostly prostitutes. That way, i wont come to any understanding with any of the ones who arent, but i can still catagorize them because it makes me feel more comfortable inside if one happens to sell themself to me or rape my daughter...

I will keep this simple, the is only one God, there has been only one son who walked on this earth and died for us. We all know this. There is only one way to heaven, that's through salvation, repenting for your sins. This is the way its always been and this is the way it will always be. READ your Bible.amen
