. Paul is responsible for all those Church Christians going off the deep end and worshipping Paul (in effect) and then making all those mumbo Jumbo conclusions.
I am a self-read Christian. I follow only the instructions and wisdom of Jesus. Definitely not Paul's guess about the mission of Jesus on this Earth.
Jesus said, "If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you"
That is the clearest verse in the Bible. But to forgive someone who has hurt you is almost impossible unless you have been born again into a new spirit, new attitude, and new justice system. A justice system that does not allow holding a grudge or seeking revenge.
(as above) Some are born again according to Jesus; not according to Paul. Those that follow Paul, give the Jesus Followers a bad image and insult us in most churches these days by following and quoting Paul.

Perhaps you are not understanding what you are seeing there in that answer. I don't mean to talk down to you, I'm jnust trying to clairify what that person was doing.
Did you ever hear before a game someone talking as if they were ready for the game and had confidence that they were going to win it? That's what you are seeing there. Confidence is a part of faith. And that person had scripture backing up what they were saying.
What the person left out that you are possibly picking up on is that saying that you are Born Again does not make it mean that you are in close contact with God. Many Christians prove this when they are following Him at a distance. You might recognize it as overzealous behavior.
I could go on, but I think that I've illustrated to point I had to make. Peace to you.

I am born again, and I only can tell you what I believe...remember that it is by Faith that we believe...
When we accept Jesus and invite Him into our hearts, we don't become Jesus...He IS in us...we don't speak His word at ALL times...we are still human and we fail ALL the time, however the Holy Spirit will guide us and yes, speak to us,
we are not "wall to wall" Holy Ghost...and only when we allow Him to use us as a tool to reach others, He may speak thru us...since sometimes we may not know what to say ...
Again,. it is by Faith that we believe, ...
All I can say to you is (again) my beliefs....God is real, He IS...and always will BE and is waiting for anyone outthere to open his/her heart to HIM..
May God bless you.

Just because you have the Holy Ghost inside of you, does not mean you represent the Lord at all times, or are using his words. We are still sinners, the only difference is we've been saved by grace that's what makes us different.

I know that I know that I have spoke to the Lord and He spoke back...Without any doubt in my mind, heart and soul...So many times He has shown Himself in so many things in my life for me to ever be able to deny His existence...Today is such a day of rejoicing and morn....We are celebrating the dead and Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ....

Born again is the mastering of our creator's universal gifts of life with the fishing line, hooks and sinkers vital for the survival and advancement of living human kind with the creation of peace on earth goodwill to men in planet of apes.
So far we have not reach that level with the creation of loss of peace on earth goodwill to men in planet of apes.
Were just following the blind in leading the blind who were still primitive living human kind living in misery in making a monkey out of ourselves in planet of apes.
Look around at the blind who were still primitive in their monkey suits in making a mess and misery out of living human kind in own backyards in planet of apes.
Ever wonder what a bunch of educated idiots blindly following the blind going in circles in planet of apes.
The graetest jokes expose by our creator in the missing x-files.

As born of God Christians, we are each individual personalities, maturing in Christ. So, I am not the know-it-all, but I pray to the Know-it-all.
When the Holy Spirit speaks through us in a special gifted anointing, then it is God. But God is speaking through our body because we submit our vocals to God because we trust God.
I know I can say things from my flesh easily enouph (if someone pushes my buttons just so), but I can also choose to follow after the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, etc... The Holy Spirit isn't forceful. I have to make the decision.
When one is abiding in Christ, renewing their mind in the Word of God, & a Word pops in their head, that is a verse & one knows in their spirit that the Spirit wants it said, it is the spoken Word of God, if said in the Spirit. Is the Sword of the Christian armour.
So, if I am sick, I can speak Gods promises of healing to my sickness, in spirit & truth, in Jesus Name, to be healed. But, usually I forget to do this & end up staying sick. But I do say, I am fighting this cold, because in the back of my mind, I believe it strengthens my imune system. " Thank you God for healing me" also, but that is me being obedient to Gods Word. It is written that in all things give thanks for this pleases God.
Then there is the calling to the Office of Prophet (of the 5 fold ministry) Jesus calls to this office & the Prophet speaks as the Lord reveals things to him. Example of someone in this Prophet Office is http://www.kimclement.com . This is a specific calling & the Prophet isn't speaking direct words of God to the Church unless under the anointing.
The writting of Gods love & law on our hearts is in the bible & the new covenant, through Christ. As a child of God I know, cuz God writes on the soft tablets of my heart. Then there is the prophetec gift of encouragment given to some, & that is where God gives a word of knowledge, wisdom, understanding to encourage another in faith, in a group prayer.
If a Christian speaks words rooted in fear, that would be the flesh reaction. When a Christian decides to cast the anxiety to Jesus, & decide to follow after the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, etc. Then the Christian is responding in spirit, abiding in Christ. This is maturing in Christ. Works built on the Rock foundation are works rooted in faith, hope & love (obedience to Christ) are everlasting rewards.
I think your eyes are opening to the Spiritual in the Kingdom of God. What did you do? Pray?
Also, the persons answer that you have wasn't perfect, in that speaking rooted in fear isn't speaking after the Spirit but of the flesh reaction. If a person is Speaking in Spirit rooted in fear, then I would suspect that person is oppressed by a demon. Fear is the way the devil rules over people. We have a choice to voice our fears (devils lies) or follow after the Spirit & voice Gods love & promises, etc... Voicing our fears isn't speaking the Word of God.

Yes they do! Its a damn stupid escape -- at times. My sister belongs to one of them fundie churches. She had a good friend who suddenly dropped the relationship because "the Lord told her to"....then I guess he told her to resume the friendship after 3 months. This is very dangerous, I think, becuse then no-one ever has to take responsibilities for their words and/or actions and ever say they're sorry. Instead of the old byline of "the devil made me do it"....it appears that now all one has to say is God told me to..." or, "I have it from God that..." A cheap escape if you ask me!

The bible says anyone who presumes to speak in my [god's] name anything I have not commanded him to say, must be put to death. Do not be afraid of him.

talking to God=religious and devout...
God talking to you=insanity or mentally unstable...
so the crux here is that it's OK to talk TO god just as long as you don't tell anyone that he is answering you back...
