I am a Christian. And have even asked my parents this question. If adam and eve were the first living things, where did the dinosaurs and the previous life come in? The really bad conflict I have, is that dinosaur remains have been found. So it shows that dinosaurs were real. I certainly know, that dinosaurs were not of the period of the humans. Humans came in the period after the dinosaurs. So dinosaurs and humans have no relationship. But if they have proof of both things, like I said, where did dinosaurs come in with life? How did Adam and Eve, marked with sin, yet civilized, create such monsters as the cavemen, who have made paintings in caves? It might be confusing, but I am also confused.

Hi, I study in the manuscripts, and i do have your answer, however it is not normally taught in the Churches. This is what the original texts tell us in the Hebrew:
Adam and Eve were not the only two; On the 6th day in Genesis, God created (in the flesh) all the races. He rested on the 7th day, and then on the 8th day God created
(in the flesh) Adam and Eve.
The manuscripts are quite clear that there are three earth ages: one that was, the one we live in now, and then the third which we call the "eternity". This earth is eons and eons old, not the 6000 yrs. that some say it is - We lived right here on earth before, and we're gonna live right here on this earth in the eternity. What changes are the ages, not
the earth. Read Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.". There is a "period" after earth.
Now when did it say that God did that?
It doesn't; just "in the beginning". The beginning was billions of years ago - thats
when satan rebelled and started a great war.
He wanted to be in the position of Christ.
A third of our people (yes, we were all there) followed satan; then many others stayed neutral - they didn't really care as long as it didn't affect them (whats new, huh?) and then another group of loyal, stedfast people stayed firmly on the side of God. After Satan was defeated, the group that were loyal to God were called his "elect", or "election". Both of the Books of Peter are addressed specifically to that group. They are also called "Saints" in scripture - this is why a religion cannot name a saint, only God does that and already named all of the saints that were to be named.
Anyway, back to the subject:
After Satans defeat, and remember, we are in the LAST EARTH AGE, EONS AGO -
God could have just killed the one-third who followed satan, and frankly, God wasn't all too happy with those who stayed neutral, either - but what does it take to kill one of your own? That you love? So instead, God destroyed that earth age. The earth sat still after that destruction (complete destruction) for untold billions of years. During that time,
many things happened with animal life evolving and adapting, dinosaurs roaming the earth, etc.
God decided to bring in this earth age, the second, and give each soul free will and the choice to decide who they would ultimately follow: Christ or satan. Thats fair.
When you read in Genesis 1, you are not
reading of the first creation of the earth:
you are reading of the rejuvination or
refurbishing of this earth to ready it for flesh habitation for this earth age.
So you see that both the Bible and the
Scientists are right. There is no necessity to jump on either the religion bandwagon or the evolution bandwagon. Scripture and true Science have absolutely no controversy at all.
You can read of all three earth ages in Second Peter, by the way.
The Book of Job mentions the dinosaurs
calling them bohemeths - with a tail as long
as a river, etc etc.....
Anyway, I hope this is helpful to you;
It is a shame that these truths aren't taught in the Churches, because people would understand where they came from, why they are here, and where they are going.
There would be alot less confusion, and
the Bible would make sense instead of seeming as if it contradicts itself. The churches will be held accountable for not teaching the truth of Gods Word. Judgement begins at the pulpit. And it should......

How do you know that dinoraurs came before adam and eve? Yeah they did all right. By one day. It says in Genisis 1:24- And god said, let the land produce living creatures according th their kinds
God created all animals on day 5 of creation. Many Scientists claim that dinosaurs were long before man because of a system called The Geological Record. This system was built by digging. And finding maybe a dinosaur bone 100 feet under ground and, say some extinct plants 500 feet under ground. So they asume that the deeper your burried the older you are. By this assumption scientists created the Geological record that showed the different forms of life and how old they were based on digging. Humans at the top of the soil, algae and bacteria at the bottum. However there has never been a dig where they were able to pull up a specimen from each time peroid. some were found at one site, some were found at another. Making it quite impossible to say that the dinosaur bone was higher up than the fish bone. plus what about weather conditions. Why do road workers have to fix the road in the spring? why do farmers have to remove rocks from the field each spring? When the ground freezes things shift, weather conditions, and things such as earthquakes could easily alter the origonal position of the bones. If there was an ice age, the constant ice shifting and melting of the ice caps would have greatly effected the position of the corpses. So there is no way for a scientist to know where the bones were origonaly. However The bible, a book that has proven itself time and time again to be trustworthy says that man were created the same day as dinosaurs, and all living things. So wich one are you going to believe?

Look- the bible is a guideline. The book contained answers to questions that they did not have the means or the intelligence to answer. There is nothing wrong with that. Primitive people believed in primitive things- that's why they stoned naughty children, sacrificed animals, and believed that every animal on the planet was stuffed into an ark that saved a select few of each species.... IT has stories that can be read and processed metaphorically that can provide solid guidelines to a lifestyle that is very satisfying for the person living it. For some it provides a sense of purpose or peace.. for others maybe not.

Simple as this- the Bible isn't the know-all resource guide to the galaxy or even the true origins of earth, but that doesn't completely discredit it at all. Some of the things learned from that book have inspired some really great and really cool people to do some really cool things. Instead of taking that book word for word, find yourself in it or reject it. You'll be more comfortable that way.

Does the Bible specifically mention dinosaurs? The following conclusions can be made.

1.The word dinosaur is not found in the 1611 King James Version of the Bible. This is to be expected since the term was not invented until 18th century.

2.It is possible that the term translated dragon in Scripture refers to dinosaurs.

3.There are two creatures mentioned in the Book of Job, the behemoth and the leviathan, that may be actual dinosaurs. However this identification is disputed.

God created all things. He created the sea and land animals and birds on the fifth and sixth day. Adam was created on the sixth day. Since we don't know whether this day was a 24 hour solar day or thousands of years, we can't be sure. If dinosaurs lived at the same time as humans this would upset the entire evolutionary time frame. Dinosaurs must have died out millions of years before humanity came on the scene to make the evolutionary scenario work.
God created the dinosaurs at some time in the past. There is no agreement among Bible- believers as to when this happened.

1.If the days in Genesis were solar days, and the creation was recent, then dinosaurs lived at the same time as humans.

2.If the creation in Genesis occurred millions of years ago, it is possible that the dinosaurs died out before humanity came on the scene.

I understand your doubts. Felt the same when I was younger. I wanted to know everything with proof attached. I've come to learn, that God didn't specify everything in the bible because the book would be the size of a library and because He mentioned those things relating to human life and our salvation. Whether dinosaurs lived alongside humans or not isn't going to make any difference to me when I go to see my Maker.

First, I would suggest EMAILing me because this is more of a discussion question then it is a Question/Answer format type question. But I will do the best to answer here and then you can email me with any other questions or comments.

For years and years Christians have looked at the Creation account to determine HOW the world was created. And use the Bible has a scientific text. Science answers questions such as HOW and WHEN.

The major problem with doing such is the Bible never claims to be a scientific work. The Bible is a work of Theology. Meaning the Bible exists to tell us WHO God is. And also what he WANTS from our lives.

So when you start approaching the Creation account with this theological mindset, asking WHY is the Creation account told in 7 days, then you begin to truly understand/comprehend the purpose of the Genesis account. There is a historical reality in the Creation account, and this historical reality is also the theological reality that Creation Occurred. However, the Creation account has a lot more to say about WHO God is then HOW the World was created.

One of the worst mistakes we can make as parents, grandparents, and teachers is to suggest that dinosaurs never existed.
We have discovered their fossilized remains on all seven continents—from North America to the Antarctic. As a matter of fact, great dinosaur graveyards have been discovered in places like Tanzania, Africa, and at the Dinosaur National Monument on the Colorado/Utah border in the United States. Literally tons of fossilized dinosaur bones have been recovered from all over the globe.
Dinosaurs were created by God within the six literal days described in the biblical record. Genesis informs us that all creatures were created during the Creation week (cf. also Exodus 20:11 and 31:17). Genesis also instructs us regarding the fact that dinosaurs, as land-dwelling animals, were formed on day six—the same day on which man was created. Thus, the inescapable conclusion is that dinosaurs and man would have lived together on the Earth as contemporaries.

They were not the first living things. God created the plants and animals first. Many people are under the misconception that the creation days were 1 - 24 hour days, however as a Christian you are probably aware of the fact that a day to us is as a thousand years to God. So, his creative days were not 6 - 24 hour days. So, it is theoritically possible for animals like dinosaurs etc were here and gone by the time that Adam and Eve were created.
Now, Adam and Eve had a son, Cane, who became a nomad after killing his brother Abel. So, his descendents were probably the "cavemen" who made the cave art. However they were not the prehistoric, neanderthals depicted by the evolutionists.

The Bible does not say that Adam and Eve were the first living things. The animals came first!

I'm a Christian too, and believe the Bible. About creation, if you read it... I don't think it clearly says that everything God 'commanded' to happen actually happened that same day. I think he set things in motion in the six creation days, then it came to manifestation later. So I don't think it's unbiblical to say that the dinosaurs (ie, animals that predate people), came way before mankind.

That's right; dinosaurs are not humans...they're animals. And yes; they were real...I don't know a whole lot about the Bible, but I do know that animals are mentioned in it..so I think that dinosaurs would count as such. I don't think that it states that Adam and Eve were the first living things. It says they were the first living people. I do not think that cavemen were "monsters". They were early humans....Well, actually maybe they were. I guess humans could in fact be considered monsters.

Adam and Eve never existed. It's an ancient societies way of guessing at how human life came into the world. It's been twisted over the years to be the basis of a religion who's goal is to make you feel like a terrible evil unworthy person so that they can sell you their snake-oil wares. The message of the A&E story is one of utter negativity. It places blame on us for the things that occur naturally in the world. This was leveraged by later religious fanatics to create the doctrine surrounding Jesus.

The world is in need of more people with such a critical approach. You should believe what you can believe, not what others tell you you should believe.
