I don't. But what on earth would lead you to believe that "lately no one does?"

A recent Time Magazine poll indicates that 90% of Americans do. Do your homework.

I believe in God but I do not believe in Religion....god did not create denominations. you can give me a thumbs down but you know this is true, in todays society 99% of Churches are just there as a social gathering, i place to show off and gossip. Oh and not to mention give the preacher a nice big house allowance and tax free. Church causes caos and makes people feel bad about themselves, Church should be a place of worship NOT a place to bash gays or to talk trash about people. Church should make you feel good. Churches shouldnt teach Bible stories they should teach common sense and how to survive in the real world. God should not be a crutch for weak people

Yes, I believe in a 'God', and I believe Jesus was the physical form. But I don't believe any men have the ability to denote a rule of proper worship. In other words, there is no denomination able to cut and paste their thoughts into the book of rules.

I do not.

What reason (aside from what is written in the bible) does anyone have to believe in god?

A child born who NEVER sees a bible in his life will never know of "god's word"..... So what proof would he have that god exists? What other reasons are there for anyone to believe in god(s)?

The typical christian arguments would be "Look around! That's the proof that god exists!"...... Or "The bible says...." ..... but they have nothing else to go on. Their book is a fairytale for adults... filled with mysterious beings, supernatural events, sex, murder, wars..... It's a story meant to guide people & inspire people...... NOT to start cults & cause people to be scared to be a human who makes mistakes. Not to raise fear in life to spend the afterlife in fire & eternal damnation.

Oh my love you couldnt be more wrong...

This world is full of hardcore head-on believers like you and I. We all go through our stuff sometimes and sometimes we fall short as all humans do. But that doesnt mean we lose our faith. We may get weak and we may even ball up, but when our faith kicks in, you know we can do anything. Im sure just from this question you posted youll find many more believers in yahoo alone than you may have thought...
