She really wants to die her hair red, but her hair is this long and blonde, it looks like spun gold! her hair is so pretty, and if she dies her hair red, it will take forever to grow out! and if she cuts it when some of it grows out, her hair will be short blonde, and she will look really bad with short hair, and if she does not do that, her hair might be ruined by the die! how many of you people think she should not die her hair red!?!?!

I don't have blonde hair, it's actuall dark brown...but at one point I had bleached it blondish and then decided I wanted to go red (all at a salon, not at home). Just an fyi to your friend: RED DYE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT! it's more like a red stain that stays in your hair forever (or so it seems). I would think that esp if she is blonde it will stay red for a long long time. If she knows that the red stains the hair, and stains if longer and more than other colors...well...i guess its up to her...i hated it...

For the Love of God Woman, Don't Let Her Go Through With It!!!!!!
If she really wants some "RED" in her hair, then suggest some highlights!!
Does she know how many people would give up parts of their anatomy for perfect blonde hair????
What is she, CRAZY?
Does she have any idea what she would look like with red hair?
What if it ends up looking horrible, and she regrets it? What's she going to do then?
Highlights are the only way to go!!

Well, if she really wants to do it, the only thing you can do is give her your opinion and then support her decision whether you agree or not.
I'd sugest Loreal ColorPulse hair dye, though. It last 8-10 shampoos, so you're not stuck with it forever, and it comes in lots of fun colors. It also easy to do yourself (a mousse tht you leavin for 30 minutes and then rinse) and costs $4-6. This would give your friend a chance to try it out before making a permanent decision.

As much as you are entitled to you're opinion, the decision is solely hers. Maybe you should suggest that she only put red streaks in it. Or try a temporary red coloring to make sure she likes it before permanently dying it that color. Then if she decides that it looks better blonde, she can wash the red out.

This sounds like me.
I died my hair reddish brown back in November 2005.
It was stupid.
The box said temporary, but because my hair was so light, the dye particles stained my hair. It was light brown forever, until I dyed it back in May 2006.
Make sure your friend knows that once she dyes it, her hair will NEVER be the exact original color. Tell her it'll stain it. I personally think she should leave it alone, I wish I did.

i don't think so.....it depends what kind of red are we talkin about.......like fire engine red, or like a normal red. but if her looks like spun gold, then i'd say no way. people would kill for her hair! i no people in my school that always dye their hair this ugly platinum blonde, trying to achieve ur friend's look, but it just looks wrong! tell ur friend that so many people want her hair, and would she want to throw that natural beauty away? well, good luck nd hope i helped!!!!

Its not your hair! But besides that, its just hair. Hair grows back. and color fades, if she hates it she can get if professionally fixed.
I went from very long RED (natural) hair to BALD because I had surgery. that was 2 years ago, my hair is now about 3 inches shorter than it was before surgery. It messed me up to go from georgous locks to NOTHING, but it taught me that its just hair! Let your friend have fun and do what she wants with no grief from you!

if she does dye her hair she can get it stripped when she has enough of the red and it will be blonde again and she wnt have to cut it all off. she might even want to cut it off ne ways, it is he choice after all. It will go bk to blonde eventually coz the dye fades. she might even decide that she loves her red hair and dye it red again and again.
