Piracy on the high seas.

I think that it shows the depth of the rift between the Iranian Revoutionary Guard/Religous Leadership and the Iranian Army/Governement.

It seems a slap in the face to the Guards that the hostages (Sailors and Marines not soldiers) were released with "gifts" from the Iranian people when they were pressing for trials on espionage.

The fact that the UK governement was caught off guard by the speed of the release adds creedance that there was no inter-governement deal reached.

I'm glad that the men and woman were released quickly, but I wonder if this shows the lack of unity in Iran.

I don't know how I could have handled myself had I been
one of the soldiers.....they were quick to give the Iranians
the 'confessions' Iran wanted to hear....they accepted
little trinklets the Iranians gifted them with and they left
Iran wearing business suits.....the Iranian military commander
got himself a metal and the British people got an Easter
Gift...........Everybody's happy there....so who am I to throw
stones, I'm just a by- stander!

Although im glad they are back, they broek the code of conduct and I think they should be ashamed.
They are only to give name, rank and serial number and then STFU untill they are bruoght back home, or killed. Especially since it was a situation where torture wasnt involved. They did everything wrong, they aided the enemy in successfully pulling off a propaganda stunt, they admited Britain was wrong, and then talked badly about the US and how they treat captives. Then they smiled, said thank you and were sent home with GOODY BAGS!!!!!! !! What kind of f*cking marines are these?

Pleased for them and their families, but left feeling the political victory lies with the Iranians.
