Someone told me these are the same ,is that so?

They are not the same. The Salvation Army is essentially a Protestant group. They are Weslyan in origin, which would put them close to the Methodists (the conservative ones) in their theology.

Completely Different and separate, The Mormon church is a cult the Salvation Army is a christian organisation.

No they are not. The Salvation Army has a background with the Methodists.

The Salvation Army was founded by William Booth, with the assistance of his wife, Catherine Booth. Booth, a Methodist minister, began independent evangelistic work in Cornwall, England, in 1861.

uh...no. I'm Mormon, and didn't even know the Salvation Army was a religion until coming on here. I thought it was just a social organization. Somehow I think they would have mentioned that by now if it were.

Not hardly. But, the LDS church probably works with the Salvation Army when it comes to giving aid and comfort to those who have been displaced by acts of nature.

No, they're not related, but a religious organization or not, the Salvation Army does a lot of good work.

close, mormons once were door gunners on some of the salvation army's vehicles.
