if you are in the directory where the game is (type
cd c:\games\pacman for example),
then you need to find the "command"(file) that starts the game.

type:
dir *.exe

now some list should come up, if there is for example:
pacman.exe

type pacman and press enter.

different filetypes that can start your game are
*.exe
*.com
*.bat

so try dir *.com and dir *.bat also.

Hope this helps.

>X: x(your drive letter program is on): Press Enter, then >dir (program folder name), PE then >(Program name you want to run).exe or .com or .bat PE, then have fun.

Type >help in dos mode if problems.

There is a 'qdos(original name)' settings box there somewhere in Losdows that you can have fun with when using dos proies!

bfr_666 is correct. You just need to know what the .exe name is and you good to go.
