You can start adding protein to your diet with no problem. First in the morning you can eat some egg whites or you can make a delicious healthy smoothie using a highquality protein powder such as whey or soy, (you can purchase these at your local GNC store). Then for a snack you can eat an apple with some peanut butter (peanut butter has good fat in it it doesnt make you fat) or you can have a small baked potatoe with a slice of low fat cheese. Then for lunch you could have some baked or grilled chicken with a salad or a protein shake with a piece of fruit( you can make this the night before and put the in fridge so its ready to go in the morning>.) All in all there are many protein foods out there consume lots of eggs, meat , chicken, turkey, milk, cheese , sea food and protein powders to get what you want.

Yes, indeed!
I am also taking in 60-80 grams of protein per day. As you exercise and increase your workout, you will need protein to provide short term energy. This energy is released within the day, much quicker than carbs would release.
I always buy a supply of small tuna fish cans, eggs (hardboil the night before) chicken or turkey breast ( to top a salad) and Protein Plus bars or Powerbars. These bars are easy and neat in providing 18-30 grams of protein in a 5 minute snack time.
If you mix these items up a bit, you won't get bored or discouraged. Best of luck!! Bon appetit!

try the south beach, meal replacement bars, they have 17 grams of protein, low sugar and taste pretty good. Also try the Eas Advantage whey protein drinks, the chocolate is not bad and you can buy them in small serving size containers that are easy to take on the go. It is important to get enough protein while dieting to make sure you lose fat and not muscle.
