A guy I know, he was raised Muslim all his life. He was a minister in the mosque and a very intelligent man. His grandmother was the only Christian in his family.

At age 30 he was walking down an ailey in New York City. A man came up from behind him, stole his wallet and threw him to the ground, with a gun aiming at his head.

The guy, again was Muslim, 30 years, a minister, for 10 years.

As he lied on the ground, he said that all he could think to call was the name of Jesus Christ.

He was lying on the ground with a gun to his head and he said Jesus is you will save my life, I will give it to you.

The robber tried to fire the gun, and the gun was out of bullets. An old man saw this happening and yelled for the robber to stop. Before bashing the victim in the head with the gun, the robber ran away.

This man is now a minister for Jesus Christ. Him telling me his testimony has really touched me. I wanted to share with you!

These kinds of stories are truly amazing. There is no question that our God is marvelous. I remember a story our pastor told about a young woman in our church who had been attacked by a sexual predator. He pushed her into the backseat of her car intending to rape her. But as he did this, she told him that she was a Christian and if he did what he was intending to do that God would judge him. The man acknowledged that she was right and left. Thus, God graciously delivered her from that rape.

On the one hand, it seems that few of us experience these kinds of divine interventions. The story you have relayed is especially amazing. What are the chances that the gun would have just happened to malfunction? They are certainly slim. It seems clear that God intervened. On the other hand, as Christians, have we all not experienced this kind of miraculous intervention? We were all once spiritually dead and enslaved to sin. In a sense, our condition was much more dire than if we had been taken captive at gun point. Nevertheless, while we were dead in our trespasses and sins and were unable to do anything to save ourselves, God came to us and opened our eyes to the truth of the gospel. He softened our hearts in order that we might turn to him in saving faith. Thus, those of us who are Christians have all experienced God's miraculous intervention in our lives in a way similar to the man in your story. We have all been raised from the dead.

He's a minister for Jesus because he wanted to be. If Jesus was all he could think of then he was Christian back then he just refused to admit it. If he had faith in the muslim religion he would have called on that in his time of need. It's not proof Christianity is above the Muslim religion, your story just proves that this man didn't have faith in his religion.
