One hot mama: I get laid about once a week at this point, but that's because I've been married for 9 years.

One hot mama: I do it about once a week with a woman, what about you. Is your woman Rosie Palmer?

John S: *sigh* I don't believe in torture for eternity. This was an assumption based on the hypothesis that God exists. He doesn't.

Whether or not you get "tortured for eternity" is entirely your choice. I don't mean this to sound uncaring. Through Christ God has made a way for all to avoid torment and to spend eternity with Him in heaven. The reason that Jesus has not yet returned is due to God's patience.

2 Peter 3:8-9 ESV But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (9) The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Our children can avoid timeout by obeying our commands and we can avoid torment by accepting Christ's forgiveness and obeying the commands of Scripture.

Well, if you do not believe in God in the first place- how can you then believe in the torture for eternity? You can not have it both ways. If you believe in God and the torture-then you will behave and be rewarded instead of punished. If you do not believe in God-then in your mind-there is no punishment. Whats your gripe? Make a choice and go for it.

I am a Christian and I have never given my kid a timeout. If he has done some thing that deserves being punished for, he gets a good whooping. I think that is what is wrong with society today. Parents don't discipline their kids in the proper fashion, so their kids run rampant and disobey.
Have you not heard it said that God chastens the ones He loves?

People ask why a loving God would allow people to be tortured forever in hell. Look at it this way: If a son or daughter completely turned their back on their parents, slandered them, disrespected them, and did the things that their parents abhorred. Those parents would eventually release them to the world and would come to terms that their child has rejected them. If that child eventually realizes that they screwed up, changes their ways, comes back, and asks for forgiveness, a good parent would accept them back. God is a gentleman and acts the same way. If you turn your back on Him, He will allow you to go your way and do what you want. He will not force you to worship him. But will allow you to separate yourself from Him. This is not His choice, it is yours. The good thing is that He will also accept you back if you will turn from your ways and return to Him.

The way I understand hell from my studies is this. When we die, our spirit will spend eternity somewhere. We have two choices, heaven or hell, and we will spend it with whichever force we have chosen to serve during our life, but we have up until the last minute of our life to decide which we will choose. Christ told us in John 14:6 …I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. We have been given the key to the gates of heaven, but it is up to us to accept the “key”. I’m not certain that Hell will be all fire and brimstone, but since God will not be present, evil will reign supreme. Hell is absent of all good because God will not dwell there and heaven is absent of all evil because Satan cannot dwell there. Hell will be completely void of ANYTHING good – Total separation from God. You have the choice and will spend eternity wherever YOU choose.

First of all, I don't just give my kid a time-out, I spank him as well, depending on the situation. God doesn't torture anybody, we do that to ourselves. We make our own decisions to either make right or wrong choices for our life. As a christian, we ask God for forgiveness, his son Jesus paid the price for our sins when he died on the cross. God judges us by our works not our sin. If you do not believe in God and that his son, Jesus, died on the cross for your sins, then you will spend eternity in Hell being tortured by the Devil, not God.

God does no longer torture human beings, human beings torture human beings God dose no longer deliver any reliable man or woman to hell. only because of fact some one dose no longer have faith in Jesus Christ dose no longer advise that they'll bypass to hell. If human beings say this they're they that don't be attentive to the Lord. in ordinary terms by and by Jesus Christ can guy be stored this is authentic. yet what's the authentic meaning. Dose it then advise that only because of fact some one dose no longer have faith that they'll bypass to hell incorrect. It in ordinary terms ability that the guy has lost the possibility to return to stay with Heavenly father and His son Jesus Christ in heaven. For the lord has yet another place arranged for his little ones who do no longer save his commandments .for remember that no unclean element can inter into the dominion of heaven. what's hell, hell is a place have been the wicked bypass people who harm and kill others who reason soreness and suffering. Hell is have been shall we placed it this way. shall we are saying hypothetical talking I kill some one that is harmless and the kinfolk go through great soreness because of fact of what I did . Now I die and God say to me be long gone for i be attentive to you no longer for you have chosen to do evil and deliver me to hell .i'll fell the rigors of the lack of there newborn of the single that I killed and the suffering that i'll experience will never end for it's going to be for all eternity for the lord say that there is not any end to this torment. that's what hell is that's an identical with people who abuse kinfolk individuals and others. The soreness they reason would be there hell and suffering.

Some Christian parents are psychotic enough to try to sentence their kids to an eternal punishment for a finite crime. Just like their evil god.

Time out? Are you nuts? I wanted to be like God of the Bible (be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is... right?) So the first time my kid, innocent, disobeys me and eats that candy bar I put on the coffee table to begin with.... I'm going to throw him out of the house. I don't care if he doesn't understand the concept of good and evil... he will now!

We are supposed to take it literally right?

I think you misunderstand God's mercy for sin.

Check out this psalm (103)

Bless the LORD, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, my soul; do not forget all the gifts of God, Who pardons all your sins, heals all your ills, Delivers your life from the pit, surrounds you with love and compassion, Fills your days with good things; your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD does righteous deeds, brings justice to all the oppressed. His ways were revealed to Moses, mighty deeds to the people of Israel. Merciful and gracious is the LORD, slow to anger, abounding in kindness. God does not always rebuke, nurses no lasting anger, Has not dealt with us as our sins merit, nor requited us as our deeds deserve. As the heavens tower over the earth, so God's love towers over the faithful. As far as the east is from the west, so far have our sins been removed from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on the faithful. For he knows how we are formed, remembers that we are dust. Our days are like the grass; like flowers of the field we blossom. The wind sweeps over us and we are gone; our place knows us no more. But the LORD'S kindness is forever, toward the faithful from age to age. He favors the children's children of those who keep his covenant, who take care to fulfill its precepts. The LORD'S throne is established in heaven; God's royal power rules over all. Bless the LORD, all you angels, mighty in strength and attentive, obedient to every command. Bless the LORD, all you hosts, ministers who do God's will. Bless the LORD, all creatures, everywhere in God's domain. Bless the LORD, my soul!
