From my understanding there are different types of Wicca even though it shares the same name or different types of Wicca tradition. Usually wiccans believe in several Gods and Goddesses and an afterlife. But some kinds may not believe in either one.

First, let's back up and define things. There is a set of religons known as Paganism (Asatru, reconstructionist religions such as Celtic Reconstructionism or Slavic Reconstructionism, Witchcraft, "pure" paganism which has no personification of spritual energies, etc.)
Within that there is a sub-set called "Witchcraft" or "The Old Religion".
WICCA is a specific lineage initiatory tradition of Witchcraft, not just what anyone feels like calling it.
Wiccans honor a God and a Goddess.
Belief in an afterlife is not universal to Wiccans, as far as I know (I'm not a Wiccan, I'm a Witch).
As to those people who read a book or two and call themselves Wiccans, I have no idea, because they seem to think that they can call whatever they feel like believing or doing "Wicca".
If you're asking about Witchcraft, it's tremendously varied; some Witches are hard polytheists, some are soft polytheists, some are pantheists, some are panentheists.
And belief or disbelief in an afterlife varies just as much.

Um. Wiccans believe in a god and goddess and do believe in an afterlife, but not one like Christians.

Vicki,
Have you ever had any other former religion,....relationship with God...even as a child...this is vitally important for you to know.....
If you ever have....you need more information before trying to do what you are doing...
I have walked that road and the memories haunt me.
If you have ever asked the Lord into your life, the Holy Spirit is in you...God doesn't want to let go of you....His love and power is the strongest there is...
You are after a second form of power that is given out by fallen ones who will use it to ultimately inslave you.
Invocation, where you summon and recieve your spirit guide...in wicca...that is where there will be war..
Spirit of God vs the demonic....
If you really don't care about your soul, or your eternity...then most likely...the invocation will succeed and you will have your "guide"...he will enlighten you then control you...
as for me...the Spirit of God won in my heart and I realized that my soul is worth protecting....
Be careful...I will think of you. Make the right choice...I do not think your writing today, was just some coincidence...I think it was destiny.

The Wiccan religion is polytheistic, which means they believe in Multiple gods. Both male and female. And they do believe in summerland, which is sort of like a place you go BETWEEN lives to reflect on your past life and prepare yourself for the next. Good luck.

the term wiccan covers a broad spectrum, but the general rule for wicca is 13 gods, with the goddess at the pinnacle of the higharcy, and the great horned god just beneath her,
supposedly the god has more power than the goddess but he laid all of his power at the feet of the goddess because of his love for her and her perfect beauty, knowing that she would use his power in a just manner because she has never caused harmed to another,
basically the goddess is pure love and the god is driven by the hunt and battle (defend for love), but the god is whipped by the goddess

by "god" I assume you mean the Christian god- and he has no place in Wicca.
As for the afterlife, that varies by tradition and group AND ALWAYS HAS.
Traditionally, Wicca is polytheistic and non-semetic, non-Abrahamic and European, Modernist and eclectic.
The views of the afterlife range from strict reincarnationists, to non-linear incarnationists, to theosophical-like transmigrationists to paradises and "heavens" to none of the above.
