You have to be straight up with him and if it winds up hurting him, it might be better than to just lead him on..( not that you are doing that) but he seems to be that he is still interested. sometimes people must get hurt to move on... lots of luck..

He obviously can't handle being just friends right now, and you're not helping him. Separate completely from him, let him get used to the idea of being without you. Say you need time away from him, no calls, no emails. It will be hard to hurt him like this, but he needs it because you're *killing* him by letting him hang onto calling you every day hoping you'll come back.
Watch his reaction closely. Tell him that if he calls you before you call him, then any hope of a friendship is over. Bring a friend if you need to for backup, but do it. Then give him time to get over you. If you don't, then believe me you are to blame for his misery as much as him.
Then, check on him. Give it a week or two. A month even. He'll be a different man.
And if he can't deal with it, he's a danger to your happiness. I'm sorry to tell you, but you'll need to eject him. Permanently.

As long as you talk to him, you're telling him there's a chance (in his eyes). It's nice in theory to stay friends with an ex but not very realistic. Not many new boyfriends are gonna be cool w/ you talking to an ex no matter how much you say there's no feelings for him.

Try backing off on talking on the phone every day, just don't answer. Be very clear with him that you will never get back together and don't want to waste anymore of his time. He should move on after that.

Well, then this would be the time to put your foot down and take over the situation. Don't take his calls anymore. And if he becomes a pest simply tell him, "we're broken up, I'm moving on with my life, it's time for you to do the same". He'll either get it or he wont. But that's not up for you to fix, it's up to him. Good luck!!

i in my opinion does no longer flow in with him. You pronounced someplace in that novel which you needed to end college. communicate college. actually everyone thinks shifting in with their BF is the form of reliable theory, yet over one million/2 the time, it ruins a relationship. are not getting me incorrect, each and every thing would desire to flow great, yet issues would desire to flow greater bitter by ability of living mutually and it sounds such as you men have already got some themes.
