OK, I got this Sailor Jerry pin-up done on my left upper arm about 2 months ago. I really liked it at first, but now, I want to cover it. Already!!! Anyhow, have any of you had a newer tat covered before. I still like the style and all; I just want something different there now. (Told you I had a serious question)

Dude....I like the pinup.....My wife wouldn't let me get one....But I think yours is cool. Would you get the same person who tattooed it on you to cover it up? (Inquiring minds want to know). And you do know that the cover up is going to be MUCH bigger than the pinup?

Ever since I saw Riders cover up, I've been thinking about cover up work, his turned out awsome. SO I was thinking I'll go buck wild and get all the tattoos that I so badly want, and in ten years when I run out of space, if I get bored with any of them I can just get some cover up work done, it will be like a fresh coat of paint. Can't answer your question, I only know people that had older tattoos covered up but I would imagine it would be the same thing, as long as it's healed.

I had a tattoo on my foot covered up after a month and a half, and it turned out OK. Why, again, might I ask, would you want a Sailor Jerry pin-up covered up?? That sounds a little crazy to me, Blair.

Man you really do have a prob-I would go to the best Tattoo artist I knew, and ask their opinion on what they think could be done. It's been done a lot on that show The Tattoo crew in Miami and they have done some terrific jobs for some that looked like they couldn't be fixed. There may be some way you could contact them if you watch the show and send a picture to them and I'll assure you they would find a result. Best of Luck to you Baby!!

no, I've never wanted to cover up a new tattoo... since you have had it for such a short time why don't you wait at least a few more months before getting it covered. there had to have been some reasoning behind getting it so maybe you will change your mind back to liking it. that way you wont regret covering it up if you really truly think about it and live with it for a while before doing that. good luck : )

I'm kind of in tha same area as you with my lower back, I need to have something done but want to keep the style. Maybe in the future we should be more sure about what we choose huh?♥

Maybe it depends on what You would like to cover with.I also had this problem, and it absoultely depends on the new one's shape, color, etc.
