There are numerous graphics programs out there to edit scans with. you can try AcDSee, adobe photoshop or any graphics program of the like.

If you have a scanner, you scan as OCR (optical character recognition).
As of this writing, 4/5/07, there is a free, online converter. It is easy to use and does a good job.

for answering this i need which scanner you use???? put the instalation cd of the scanner
then there may be some software which will be useful for you
pls try it
or use
acd see
gimp

corel draw
etc

Usually 1s that come with the scanner device, or painting, image programs have that feature & will allow you to do that.
Losdows usually has something builtin thesedays anyway.

but If you are talking about editing the text of a scanned doc, then you need OCR software.
