$427 for a D80 is a scam. Don't even bother calling them.

Be very wary of this on line deal.

The range of problems could go from returned and damaged goods to grey market import products to outright rip offs.

Some New York city dealers are famous for this kind of come on, ripping consumers off once they have their money.

Stick with the legitimate dealers and well known mail order houses.

If you tried to buy one, I'll bet the conversation would go like this:

The D80 is $427 ...
Do you want the battery too? That costs extra.
Do you want the battery charger too? That costs extra.
Do you want the memory card too? That costs extra.
Do you want the camera strap too? That costs extra.
Do you want the lens mount cap too? That costs extra.
Do you want the user manual too? That costs extra.

sometimes the stores are selling a model that does not have a USA warranty. i was just in this same position. That is what all the stores online said they could sell it for so cheap. also they were saying that the body did not come with a battery. i would be very weary if i were of purchasing it online.

See if the online store has a phone number - call and ask questions. Might just be an overstock deal.
