What would the world be like without God?

Interesting question, Tish:

What would it be like without Satan? It would, of course, be like Heaven—certainly no religious wars.

Because of inconsistencies in religion, people might think we should abolish religion. Thomas Jefferson actually suggested a one-religion government—that almost got him impeached.

When a religious person or organization fails to meet God’s standard and “does their own wicked thing”, God withdraws His divine guidance and turns them over to their own ways—they become tools in Satan’s hands.

Maybe you recall that Isaiah was sent by God to anoint the Assyrian king Hazael to attack Israel for their unfaithfulness (1 Kings 19:15).
Likewise, according to Bible prophecy, Mohammedanism was raised to attack Christian nations because of their sins (Revelation chapter 9, etc). One-third of the wicked “Christian” Roman Empire was delivered to them. Read about this, “The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam in Bible Prophecy” at www.revelado.org/islam.htm.

Back to your question, Paul describes what happens to nations when God abandons them:

“God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
“And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
“And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
“Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
“Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
“Without understanding, , without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Romans 1:26-32).

This sounds like today, doesn’t it, and we need be concerned if God hadn’t warned us about it in the Bible. He has a plan, though, and it is outlined in a “last-day” Bible code. Among other things the code reveals the identity of Antichrist and the timing of God’s dealing with sin. www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

The same as it is now. There is no proof for the existence of a higher being. And in fairness, there is none against it either. Religion is based entirely on the precept of blind faith without proof. Concrete reality is based on empirical evidence. God and reality have little to do with each other. Empirical evidence shows us the existence of all that is and therefore can be reasoned to be independent of a deity as none has been found. To state that God is a part of external reality is erroneous. God is purely a subjective spiritual experience. The query is almost redundant, and should be asked as "What would our personal spiritual world be like without God?". God exists for some and not others.

Satan is an excuse for people to commit their sins and not take responsibility for their own actions. "Satan made me do it." Religious people use Satan as a licence to commit their wrongs - a convenient way to pass the buck. If you don't believe in Satan then you become responsible for your actions and you'll be less likely to commit wrongs.

And don't quote me the bible. Statements made from the book as proof are not in fact proof of anything apart from your faith in it, and that someone spent a lot of time scribbling on paper scrolls a long time ago.

Religious people will think I'll go to hell for saying all this. Well, I'll be the guy shoveling the coal and asking you if you want it hotter as you pass through the gates.

Don't worry: you'll live to see such world. The huge transnational capital is intent on crafting such a reality by eroding the public good and giving everything (natural resources included) to corporations. It's like a Halliburton-led Iraq; a Pentagon-tailored Somalia; a neo-con minded world; a fanatic-led religious order (whether Islamist or US evangelical).

World without God.... hmmm I don't know but I'd guess it wouldn't be since God created all things... I suppose nothing would be.... so that is a mute point.

Without Satan and with God.... perfect....

Without satan, god has no reason to be here. So somebody created satan just to worship his god.

Without God...no reason to live, because there would be no true love in the world. There would be no hope.
Without Satan....eternal peace.

I am not religious and don't really believe in God and my world is great and filled with good people. So that is a dumb question.

You're living in it that way now, until concrete proof regarding the existence of both is established...
