Cats can have some strange habits. My cat quite often eats with his paws, picking the biscuits up with his claws and eating them that way - his favourite is being offered a crisp if you're eating a packet, he puts his head in the bag and has a look then picks the one he wants out with his claw! He also loves herbal tea bags and if there's one left in a cup he'll pull it out and toss it around. He plays fetch with rolled up bits of paper and also likes to push things off of cupboards/tables etc. He loves water and will spend ages playing with a dripping tap!
Your cat may be bringing you the papers/letters as a present (as someone else has suggested) or may just have some weird cat reason for doing this - I don't understand always understand my cats behaviour but he's entertaining and happy so I let him get on with it!

Well i have cats and they do some of the same thing. the biscuits thing she is just trying to figure out what it is/play with it. The papers thing: i have a cat that does the same thing with socks, underwear and rags. I think she does it when she is lonely try calling tthe cat if it bothers you. All in all if these don't bother you no need to worry about it cats can be funny creatures whent hey want to.

My cat pulls food out of her dish before she eats it. She does it because she came from a barn with lots of cats, she couldnt get her head in the dish to eat so she would sneak in and scoop out food with her paw and eat that way. She never grew out of it even though she is 8 yrs old now.
As for the paper and letter thing , I had a cat that used to bring me mice cause she thought i was her baby. Maybe your cat is substituting the paper for mice. Shes on the hunt for the next suspicious piece of paper roaming her territory. :)

Hi Audrey!
Your cat sound like a cutie :-)
*The biscuit thing - cats get bored with the food being presented in their bowl all the time! They like to play with their food, like kiddies! We usually feed our cat from the bowl too, but just to make things more interesting, we sometimes put a few on the kitchen floor and flick them with our finger. He loves chasing them, playing with them, then finally 'killing' and eating them! We also hide biscuits around the house and inside his cat tree. Try these things to make life more fun for your kitty! Cats like to hunt for their food :-)
Incidentally, my cat also likes to flick his dry biscuits into his water bowl and eat them out of there! Really funny!!
* The letter thing - very quirky! My cat has a toy he likes to play with. When he's done, he'll bring it over to me and drop it by my feet, proudly presenting his gift! It could be one of 2 things: 1) she wants you to use the paper to play with her, or 2) she sees the paper as prey she has killed and is offering it to you as a gift! (the way they often do with dead mice, etc).
Funny kitty! Enjoy her little quirks :-)
xx Emmie

This is her hobby. Most cats have a hobby like this. It's a thing that seems crazy or meaningless to us but seems to give the cat pleasure. My cat likes to knock around anything that will roll, pencils, pill containers, such like. If it's not destructive, count your blessings, and let her be.

Ohh! How cute. I think she wants to help you. She probably sees you with the papers or letters and thinks "My Mommy and Daddy need these." So she brings them too you. My cat carries around a stuffed animal. We call it her baby.
I think she does this with her food because shes finicky.
