There is a bengali poem by Rabindranath Tagore named "Dhulamandir".There he states God is bound within his own creations,he states God is not in the closed doors of temples & idol worship can not take us closer to him.He is there in the open fields with the labourers who toil hard the whole day.So, yes God is omnipotent he is in ourselves, in our heart so we meditate to get closer to him as he resides within us.

Yes it is a truth. The reply is hidden in your own question and it is like this that the God is present every where and need be that the god is inside a think. It is just like air which is present everywhere you can only feel and cannot see it. The Gold is like air where you can feel the presence and therefore, it is not material for God whether the place is good or bad or dirty of bad odder is coming because everything is his creations. He has created all these things for all type of people and therefore there is different type of people, community, habits etc etc.

The Vedas (knoweldge) tell us that the God is even within the atoms as well in his localized aspect.

In the Sri Ishopanishad, the mantra eight mentions,
"Such a person must factually know the greatest of all, the Personality of Godhead, who is unembodied, omniscient, beyond reproach, without veins, pure and uncontaminated, the self-sufficient philosopher who has been fulfilling everyone's desire since time immemorial."

Excerpts from the purport by Prabhupada,
To confirm that the Lord is always pure and uncontaminated, Sri Ishopanishad describes Him as suddham (antiseptic) and apapa-viddham (prophylactic). He is antiseptic in the sense that even an impure thing can become purified just by touching Him. The word "prophylactic" refers to the power of His association. As mentioned in the Bhagavad-gita (9.30-31), a devotee may appear to be su-duracara, not well behaved, in the beginning, but he should be accepted as pure because he is on the right path. This is due to the prophylactic nature of the Lord's association. The Lord is also apapa-viddham because sin cannot touch Him. Even if He acts in a way that appears to be sinful, such actions are all-good, for there is no question of His being affected by sin. Because in all circumstances He is suddham, most purified, He is often compared to the sun. The sun extracts moisture from many untouchable places on the earth, yet it remains pure. In fact, it purifies obnoxious things by virtue of its sterilizing powers. If the sun, which is a material object, is so powerful, then we can hardly begin to imagine the purifying strength of the all-powerful Lord.

What I think is..

God might be some form of energy which affects us from day to day life.... Since we do not know more about it we call it GOD ,a super power above us...

This energy surrounds us from the day we are born.... GOD is there everywhere.... only that this energy is really concentrated in temples, mosques, churches, etc etc ....

Afterall we turn to GOD when we don't get what we want....And when we get it we give our thanks to GOD....

In Bhagavad Gita it says that GOD is within u... Only that u dont realize it...
I think the way u change your mentality towards all those happening around you defines this GOD within yourself...

The results of your actions are defined by the interaction of these positive and negative energies surrounding you and within you...

We visualize it in form of figures,idols,pictures... and these visualizations help us to concentrate more on the GOD within us...

But dont leave the idea of GOD..I believe in the existence of GOD everywhere..I waz just expressing my view....

It is a waste to argue about GOD: Why do you bother about this like others: Do you have conscience? To the best of your your time,"Think good,do the best to the society: help the deserving: "

Good thinking,leads to good life:
Less your ambitions make the life journey very pleasant:
Keep your health fit with necessary hard works & excercises
Take good advices of elders:

Nothing to worry about than the above:

A student can learn anywhere but It is better for some to join school and learn there.

Just as one and the same all-pervading space exists within and without a jar, so the eternal, everlasting God exists in the totality of things.

PLease read Ashtavakra Geeta, if possible.

God is beyond time and space. The Bible says that the kingdom of God is within. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

I hear god vacations allot on the French Riviera, A couple of months ago I spotted JC in Vegas shooting craps at the Mirage, nice guy, he can really put the booze away. He dropped a hit pile of cash, anyway I doubt seriously god or his boy goes to any third world shitholes like India, or Pakistan, or Montana.
