Given girls can make £800/night doing keep fit exercises. Why is pole dancing considered expolitation and degrading?

Persoanlly I would love to be fit and have a whole room of girls thinking Im so hot fit and hunky they would be willing to pay me £10 a song to dance


Plus I love dancing

without my top on or £20 to see my willy as I dance.


Would make me feel like Justin Timerlake and Brad Pitt.


Plus would love to be able to by a house in two years, for the pension out a year later, pay for uni then only work here or there for a fortune and go travelling etc when not driving my ferriahi

Also would sure be a lot better then most of the dull, boring, repetative, crappy pay jobs Ive had despite uni.

COMMON SENSE needs to come into it...


Ie no matter what job you have that pays well stay orr the drungs and silly bling trinkets and invest money wisely as you said its a short term job up to mid tenties but say 18-26

5 days a week times £800

= £4000 a week

= times 48 week giving 4 weeks holiday

= £192,000 a year

* 8 years = 1 million, 5 hundred and 36 thousand pounds.


Which should cover the house, uni education, pension, you can live off the interest of say most of that million.

Say £900,000 = 5% interest a year = income of £45,000 which aint bad.


If you are sensible


and then use education to set up own business yourself

Maybe opening up your own lapdance club.

With say male stripper nights... or how about a two room club? one for the girls , one for the guys

It's considered degrading because it objectifies women. It encourages men to think that one specific, limited female body type is attractive and to see women as sexual objects rather than people. This is not a good thing for either women or men in my opinion.
Reducing your value to how you look and performing for the titillation of men is not equivalent to being a sexually liberated woman.

Also money is not the most important thing in life. Self respect and self esteem are far more important if you ask me.

Added: If your self esteem is based on how many people find you attractive then that is both very shallow and also very sad for you. Finding a person you are in a relationship with sexually attractive is generally a part of a package of feelings you have for them. If you treat people you have relationships with as sexual objects then that is extremely sad. To compare the attraction one feels for one's partner (the very word partner indicating that the relationship should be an equal one) with the sexual objectification of pole dancers implies that you sadly misunderstand successful adult relationships and also the social/financial dynamic of what occurs in a strip club.

You may also want to consider the fact that the majority of women working in the sex industry (in whatever aspect) are the survivors of sexual abuse.

I don't think you have really thought about the implications of what you are saying and you are being flippant about something which is in fact sadly indicative of the nature of society and the positions offered to women (and girls) within it. Please educate yourself.

Because they are half to completely naked with they do it and grind the body on the patrons...only a step up from being a prostitute. Many abuse drugs and alcohol to cope and end up becoming addicts and all their money ends up going to feed their habit.

The "career" has very limited lifespan; most are "has beens" and "too old" after the age of 25 and have gotten used to the easy money, don't want to have a regular job or don't have the skills to find gainful employment and then in turn resort to illegal activities to keep up their lifestyles.

The above applies to the male strippers as well.

I do it!!! I have always weighed 130lbs, and always been in good shape and as soon as I started pole dancing I went down to 120 and I am in the best shape I could have ever imagined, and LOVING IT! It's so much fun!! I guess since you are only 16 some people might start to think you are setting yourself up to be a stripper, but as long as you know what you are doing and are comfortable with it, then who cares what anyone else thinks!! If you can't be honest with him, in your work out sessions haha, then he isn't worth your time!!!

More power to them i say --- if men want to pay stupid money to see women take their clothes off and dance then thats up to them! well personally i think of it from seeing my cousin doing it... she looks tarty and like a prostitute and the men look like old leers who cant get it or just creeps, i do it for my hubby at home... but thats only him and hes getting it after, id never do it for a whole bunch of loosers i dont know

im not that bothered how people feel bout pole dancing, if they want to do it then let them and if people want to watch it then let them. people cant say its degrading if they arent doing it as nothing is happening to them, they are just boring people who like to have arguements.
