There is this girl whom I really adore and I would like to text her to wish her Happy Easter to show that I care for her and respect her belief. We are just friends. I am Buddhist myself.

If you are Buddhist, you must since Buddhism respects all religions and theirs Gods. You may celebrate a religious holiday with the others to show that you respect them and their religious! There is nothing wrong with it. When you live in harmony with the others, your life will be happy and others will be happy too. I can see a lot of good deed in your actions!

Of course! I mean it doesn't have to be YOUR birthday to wish someone else a happy birthday does it?

I think when we begin to respect the beliefs of others even when we ourselves may not share them, we move up into a much better realm that may very well reflect the beauty of the things that WE believe ourselves!

Duh!!! It's just a greeting. It's not like you're saying "Here's wishing you a Happy Easter. Oh and btw, I'm going to convert to your religion now." It's a simple greeting and it won't make a difference. Heck, I'm not Christian yet I still wish my friends for Easter and Christmas whether they're Christians or not.

Yeah go for it. I am Christian, and I have Muslim friends. We send messages like that all the time. For all holidays.

Perfectly ok!

It's just like how I pray for my friends who are non-Christians. You will be surprised how grateful and surprised they are even though they are non-Christians. It's the thoughts that count.

surely. there is no barrier. your wish is actually the best first step to show solidarity with the people of other religions.
