I had a growth spurt and i have stretch marks from my knees to on my hips. Some are white whereas some are bright purple. It's embarrassing in the summer. Any one know how i could possibly get rid of them?!

Karen, I'm really sorry to break it to you, but unfortunately, you can't just "get rid of" stretch marks on your own. They're quite permanent. I'm not completely certain, but there might be some cosmetic surgery that can eliminate them, but if you don't want to spend that kind of money, you can cover them up with makeup.

Stretch marks aren't so bad. I know TONS of women who have them and don't think much about them (including gorgeous actress Sienna Miller). Accept them as part of your body and, more importantly, part of your uniqueness as a human being.

There really isn't any way to get rid of them. Usually after a while, they turn white. If I were you, I would look upon them as an asset. They would separate out the guys who are simply looking at women for their bodies from the ones who fall for the whole package - looks plus personality. The guy who really falls for you will love your stretch marks because they are you. When I fell for a woman with eczema, I actually found the eczema attractive - it just was her.
