Video through one channel and audio from another.?

I have a yahama htr-5860 and I was wondering if I could get video from my dtv/cbl componet video jack and audio from another? I wanna leave my dvd player and my cable box plug in with their optical cables and I wanna get my Xbox 360 hooked up through the HD and have optical audio, is that possible?

Why don't you connect video from the Xbox 360 directly to the TV and audio from the 360 to your AVR?

As long you get audio from the AVR you can connect to the TV and video input you want.
