There are a lot of reasons why a man doesn't answer a question with a simple yes or no.

Obviously, this question is similar...! However, you really shouldn't worry about it until you get no answer at all.

Women should think first of what they are asking because women tend to ask questions that are multiple questions in one or that even a single question that requires multiple answers.

If asking a question relative to something you have little knowledge about, your man will explain it indepthly. It's called communicating...be glad you have it. Men do those things, that's what they do best, be glad for that too.

Women tend to answer a question with a simple yes or no when the answer requires more detail. As example, a woman can talk to a chica friend or her mother on the telephone for an hour and when asked by her man how things are with the person, the woman says "fine"...a one word answer which hardly answers at all...! If that is all a woman has to offer after an hour of talking then she shouldn't complain if her husband shows no concern for communicating eventually.

Men need the toilet seat up, women need it down...!!! Do you hear men complaining when they find the seat down...?

In other words, think less of what you want and more of what he wants. If you want a one word answer then tell him first that you are about to ask a question requiring a simple yes or no. If he doesn't answer the question, try asking again using different words.

Gosh, women sure can be confused !

Men - generally speaking - consider themselves the "superior" specie, therefore put on the earth to "enlighten" others - especially females. How, then, could they answer with a mere "yes" or "No" ?
I am a guy, by the way, and as you can see from the brief reply above to the given question, I would never become verbose, but always to the point! lol

guys have a problem with commitments, and if its a yes or no question then they'll do anything/say anything so that they will not have to commit to an answer at the time of the question-asking lol. and if they do answer, they find it hard to change their answers later on

Because men can't answer questions, especially serious questions, without having some time to think about it. Don't just expect an answer right away....give him some time to mull it over.

Do you know what it is? they have selective hearing n it's not that can't answer you... it's that they didn't hear the question so they kinda give vague answers that they hope will keep them out of trouble!!
