There is no prohibition on the bible about the eating of meat on Friday. It is not even called good Friday. It is only the berlief of the christian catholics.

Jesus did not die on Friday but on Thursday as per appearing on the Hebreo Calendar.

For your information, a day to God begins at night time until the following morning and that is the first day,but the Roman Catholics made a calendar which is called the Roman calendar that a day begins 12 midnight and ends 12 midnight the following night.

It's a Catholic Thing only.

Long, long ago in a Galaxy Far Far away you couldn't eat Red Meat on ANY FRIDAY.

This was until the 1970s

Meat, other than Fish or Cheese, was forbidden on EVERY Friday.

George Carlin did a routine on eating a Baloney Sandwhich once.

Imagine doing eternity for eating a Baloney Sandwhich!

Of course all of this was only for Catholics.

The AMAZING thing is the EASTER HAM

Consider Jesus was Jewish and Kosher, that is a total Paradox!

For a well-written article on why no meat but ok for fish during Lent, go to this website written by the Rev. Ken Collins, a minister in the Disciples of Christ Church. Its not just us Catholics who fast from meat during Lent.

i assumed the church dropped the sin from ingesting meat for the duration of Lent an prolonged time in the past. i assumed it replaced into extra of a reliable advice. No, in case you have a toddler, and quite in case you're nursing, you're in all probability exempt, heavily. consume what you have and if there's a sin in contact, do in spite of your faith demands, bypass to confession, repent, and so on. that's different yet comparable, I as quickly as heard a Jewish man or woman say it replaced into ok for an Orthodox Jew to consume beef if the alternative replaced into starvation. no longer as drastic on your case, yet you do might desire to consume. yet is hamburger the only element on your place, regardless. i've got had lots of circumstances as quickly as I only ate some ordinary pasta and vegetables, or issues like that. advice: replenish on lots of tuna at present of twelve months, as properly as different canned products, to maintain in the experience that your electricity is going out, it won't bypass undesirable interior the frig. Tuna in all fairness much less high priced and cans will save for an prolonged time. What you do no longer use, whilst the climate breaks, this twelve months that would desire to be by July or August; you could donate cans of nutrition to nutrition pantries.

"WE" would include everyone. Jesus declared ALL foods clean. Although if one person decides not to eat certain foods thats ok, do not judge him for it, but no meat on Friday during lent is not biblical.

Isn't it good from a diet perpective to eat fish??? Its a chance to have the old fish and chips...yum.
Also its supposed to be a small thing that you do in rememberence of a man (a real man too) who chose to die so that others would chose to beleive in him and what he stood for...love and peace!

I eat what I want, when I want. How ridiculous to adjust your diet according to some book.

Tomorrow I plan on having a big, fat, juicy steak for dinner, absolutely oozing blood.
