Next time this happens tell it you rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ. Happen to a friend of mine and it worked. I know alot of people are going to say you are crazy but please don't take it to heart. I know things like this that have happened to people and not just one person I know of and I'm sure you are not the last.

When I was young, I used to have nightmares a lot. Some of them were like you describe. They went away eventually. Over the counter sleeping pills work pretty good for wiping out dreams. Maybe see a doctor and see if he has any ideas.

Most people who get saved fall victim to the fine print that many of us Christians leave out. You have to decide to stop sinning completely. It will happen slowly and the Holy Spirit will do most of the work but you have to want to stop completely. That is repentance. Second GOD does not want part of you or some of you. GOD wants all of you. Everything. Is there any part of your life you have not surrendered? Again the Holy Spirit will do most of the work but you have to be willing to give up everything. When we pray we are yielding our free will and accepting GODs will for our lives. Pray Pray Pray. The Bible will also be very helpful for keeping you on track and exposing things for what they really are. We are saved by grace through faith. The result of that is that we are clearly born again as a new person. It sounds harsh but the rewards are huge.
May the Lord richly bless you.

Sounds a bit unusual, I had spirits float over me as well, it does scare you, and usually they don't say much. Try speaking to them, ask QUESTIONS. Sometimes they to speak back, ask if they know Jesus Christ, and see how their reaction is, and if you can't move, try praying in your head for protection. How long have you live in this place? do you know the history of it, like was there ever a fire there before? did anyone died there? do you think that they are ghost? Perhaps they are trying to tell you something.
You can always write me and ask more questions, perhaps I maybe able to figure it out.
I really having had much happen to do with Satan, it could be something to do with that. You can talk to a priest, and use Holy water.

There is a mental imbalance that results in waking paralysis and sometimes hallucinations. I forget what it is called, or what the treatment is.

During normal sleep, the brain paralyses your body so that whatever you're dreaming about doesn't mean you get out of bed. Sleepwalkers have a deficiency in this brain function, because they can actually get out of bed and physically follow their dreams whilst sleeping.

The half-waking paralysis you describe is the opposite of sleepwalking: it's to do with the normal sleep paralysis not wearing off quickly enough, so that when you're nearly awake you still can't move until you're fully awake. Getting scared is probably disrupting the waking process even more, so it's a sort of vicious circle.

I can't comment on supernatural interference, but either way, getting scared is not going to help. Try to find a way to calm down. Quite a lot of young people experience the paralysis thing, and even some related hallucinations, but it usually seems to sort itself out spontaneously as time goes on.

I only ever experienced it a few times, after some girls at my college were talking about demons holding them down while they were paralysed in bed. After listening to them, I recognised a sort of paralysis happening to me during waking, that felt scary at the time, but it was probably my expectation of being scared that got me going, because I had never noticed it before.

It sounds like you are describing a condition where you stop breathing when you are asleep, you wake up paralysed and semi concious and feel like there is someone in the room with you. if it keeps happening you should see a sleep specalist. P.S something similar happened to me once, I've heard people say that if you say the name of jesus christ it will go away but that didn't work for me. I think it also happened once when I was little, I blamed aliens then assumed it was just a dream.

You are probably having a dream during the REM period of sleep. Read my answer to your last question for more information on that subject. I would be fine talking to you, but I don't know what time zone you are in. E-mail me (you can do that through my profile) an I will start up my IM. Or you could just e-mail me.

Good luck

There is help out there for you and I would like to see you get it. You may have a chemical imbalance in your brain. Sometimes if you have a tumor growing in your brain, this will cause your halusinations. But there would probably be pain involed also. The brain works on the chemical seritonin. If your body is not producing enough of this then you can have problems like you have discussed. Please seek medical help. Don't be ashamed to see a phyciatrist either. They can help you deal with this. If you need medication. Other wise seek a pastor at one of the local churches to help with your counseling.

Friend, I know what you are going through, and let me reassure you, you are going to overcome this. I am guessing you are about 12-13, for that is the same age it happened to me. Around this age, God begins to hold man accountable for their sins. These nightmares will go away, I had many of them, and I was terrified. Don't Be! These dreams show that you are a great person! Keep your faith, This is the working of the devil, God allows the devil to enter our lives knowing full well that we can win, he will never put you in a situation you cannot overcome, so overcome it! This might continue every now and then, but dont worry, it will end. there were times where i felt as if there was a demon laying on top of me, and i woke breathing heavily and dreading in sweat. Don't worry, you can defeat him, with the words of christ, that are sharper than any double edge sword, you will ban this evil from you. Just tell whatever is bothering you to leave in the name of christ, and it will have to obey, God bless you, Amen.

I do believe there is demonic things that happen in the world however, Jesus has already had the victory over Satan. If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your savior then you need to do that. You can't fight this demonic activity by yourself. I will pray for you for certain. If you are already saved then I would like to tell you in case you don't already know this....that your Bible is your sword (And use the KJV Bible. When you go out to battle you want a REAL sword not a cheep copy.) And prayer is your shield. I know this may sound radical but I believe that you need to emerce yourself in the things of God. Fast for one month from watching television, movies, and listening to secular music. Keep company with fellow Christians. Go to Bible Study, go soul winning, and just emerce yourself in the things of God and tell those demons that you will continue this Emerson in the LORD until they leave you alone.

This sounds like a relatively common medical condition called night terrors, or a similar type of sleep disorder. You can read about them on the wikipedia article below. Lots of people have these, and learn to manage them quite effectively. No, you are not mad.

This is a medical condition, not a spiritual one. If it is bothering you a lot, go and see your doctor, who can give you a referral to a neurologist.

This is common. It's happened to many people I know including myself. I was sort of immobile with this black dark shadow figure hovering over me pressing weight down on me, and the only thing I could do was fight it in my mind by repeating the Name of Jesus over and over until it went away. Some people call it Sleep Paralysis but it seemed real to me.
