The best and only way to get your skin properly treated would be to have a skin anaylsis. You can do this by visiting a good salon in your area. You may have to have different products to treat different problems, such as 'anti-wrinkle cream' for your fine lines and a moisturiser that isn't oiled based but rehydrates your skin. Of course a healthy diet can help promote a healthy skin - drinking plenty of water will help rehydrate your skin.

I found that Dermalogica is excellent for problamatic skin. I have really oily skin and found that these products really work. If you can find a salon that retail these products and have a consultation with your therapist she/he will be able to direct you to the products you should be using. Alternatively, visit www.dermalogica.com and look through the products that will best suite your skin type.

All the best :o)

It sounds as though your skin is imbalanced. The reason it is oily is because it lacks moisture - imagine a vinaigrette (the oil sits on top of the water) - your skin is producing more oil to stop the moisture escaping. Use a gentle cleanser like "Purity" by Philosophy followed by a hydrating moisturiser or gel (There are so many good ones available). At night use a hydrating face mask (I love the Caudalie one) apply a thin layer (avoiding the eye socket area) and leave it on all night - your skin will feel amazing in the morning.

You need an anti-ageing moisturiser for oily/combination skin for the lines and oiliness

But the dehydration needs to be treated from within.

Make sure you drink at least 2 litres of water a day, and for every alcoholic, tea, coffee or pop you need to drink another 4 glasses of water to counteract the dehydrating effects of those drinks.

You just have to have it all going on don't you? LOL...fine lines, greasy, AND dehydrated?! OK...i would STILL start with a good moisturizer (probably a line minimizing one, depending on your budget and personal experience, that's up to up)..considering that you have fine lines...my best guess is that you are in your 30s or 40s...I wouldn't use JUST a powder mineral foundation...id start with Smashbox primer...then your favorite foundation, (i use almay line smoothing...it feels sooooo good going on its ridiculous) then of course blush, that it is you use blush..creme is probably best for you, and a mineral powder. It can be a mineral foundation in powder form, but who's really gunna know if the powder you used is intended for foundation or powder? Really buff into skin..kinda of hard, and make sure its a good brush so that isn't going to scratch you. If you start feeling that your skin is losing moisture during the day get sort of facial mist, mist it on throughout the day to get that dewie look back that you had in the morning.

I have that same thing going on, and I have found that Oil Of Olay (the good old regular kind) is great. It's not greasy, and the moisturizers in it seem to actually cause you skin to produce less oil. I don't know how that works, but it does.

You can try to use the anti-aging washing foam, toner and night cream. Always apply a layer of ce cream before you go out in the sun. Do a regular face mask too.

Avoid washing your face immediately when you reach home. Rest for a while before you wash your face. It will not hurt the skin.

Check out this link. The face mask is very mild and very popular among users.
