It depends on the usage:

1. if it has something to do with money...
do you want to earn = kumita
i earned $$$ = kumita, kinita
i will earn $$$ = kikita
about to earn $$$ = kikitain

2. if it is use in this context...
earn my trust = makamtan

earn as in earning of money:

to earn in tagalog = kumita

earned (past tense) = kinita

earnings = kita
