How old are the kids? I'll assume young kid means preschool age? Anything interactive is a big hit. Hide and seek, mimicking games (like Hokey Pokey, or Head, Shoulders...) Flashcards, Reading books together (read the story aloud or have the child make up the story based on what he sees in the pictures), have them draw pictures and make stories books themselves, play with playdoh, just be creative. As long as you are paying attention and interacting with what they are doing they will have a good time.

Kids are individuals and their interests vary greatly. It's hard to beat a walk in the woods or through a meadow. Making playdough on the stove and then sculpting with it is great. Get down on the floor and play with their toys with them. Read books to them. Build cities with blocks and act out adventures.

Create interactive games for all the kids to join in with. They'll love it. Group games always do the trick. Kids love musical games too.

Interactive play where the adult is involved. Especially pretend play like get a big box and pretend its a castle or a pirate ship (depending if kids are boys or girls). Turn off the T.V. and the computer and video games and get in the floor and play with them and have a ball.

Young kids mood swing changes from one time to other . Its basically satisfying their needs and getting involved in the activities which the like. To start with u can try to tell stories and rhymes to them. At any cost dnt leave them without entertainment, ie keep them entertained in any good activities,

Kids are interested in alot of stuff. Such as dancing, colouring, toys, maybe dressing up, you can do interesting plays and so on.
