It doesn't matter how happy this person has made you, because in the end the lord is the one who isn't happy. Many things make people happy in this world drugs, sex, thieft, lies and non of this make God happy so stop lying to yourself by saying its the best thing that happen to you. The media is crazy dont conform to the ways of this world.

Gay people are also humans like us. They also deserve to be called children of God and it is God who will judge us.

What God mean on his words - many people say father, father, but children of the devil they are, for they do things of this world" -are those calling themselves children of God but do not have belief on God and going against the law of God

They claimed to be faithful to God but they are sinners who refuse to ask forgiveness of their sins.

First off, what religion do the other animals of this world follow? Many many animals (monkeys, wolves, etc) show some form of religious activity similar to which human beings use. And, surprise!! homosexuality is not uncommon amongst MANY of the animals on this planet. Consider it population control.

Second, to comment on the "Many things make people happy in this world drugs, sex, thieft, lies and non of this make God happy so stop lying to yourself by saying its the best thing that happen to you" statement: god created marijuana. Why? No, seriously...why? Many cultures have been smoking weed since before Christianity was ever thought of.

I'm really sorry to say this, but you come off as such an ignorant pawn with this question...

Because they are?
I don't know. I don't presume to know the mind of the God you refer to. I also don't presume to be a better person than those you revile.
I do feel a little sorry for you, in your ivory tower, looking down on a 'sinful and corrupt world', you must be awfully lonely.
Still, your isolation is the price you pay for lacking love and forgiveness.
I will ask the Christians, the real ones, not the online hate-mongers to pray for you.
I would like to heed your advice, and not conform to the ways of this world, but if I did, I would put myself in a minority, and become an immediate target for the hatred spread by fundamentalists.
So you see my dilemma; either I pretend to be a Sheeple, or I live an authentic life.
Oh, wait, I already live an authentic life.
It's what people whose minds are free do.
Enjoy feeling Holier Than Thou. It may well be the only pleasure you get.

And, thank you. Your example of what a Christian is, does, and thinks has pushed me a step further from Christianity.
And I'm sure I'm not alone.

Stephanie, It sounds more like what you are doing. You are treating a certain type of person as if they were below you. Esteem yourself much?

A Gay person can love God as much as anyone else, you just don't know it. In fact, what you said told me alot about you. You don't love God, you don't preach the Gospel, you attack sinners as if you aren't one, you are so full of yourself, when are you going to stop sinning?

I'm Bisexual. Did you know that I have been a Christian for over 20 years and my relationship with God is still there. He hasn't abandoned me. He promised that He wouldn't.

But your hatred for the Homosexuals is plain to see. Perhaps you are young, naive, whatever. You clearly need to wake up and start learning the Gospel IF you are a Christian at all.

Weigh what I said on God's Spirit, okay?

Were the Pharisees that harassed Jesus "children of God"? Far from it. At John 8:44, Jesus said their father was the Devil, making them "children of Satan." Homosexuality is a violation of Christian conduct. At 1 Cor. 6:9, Paul said that men who lie with men would not inherit the kingdom. So would you say that homosexuals are "children of God"? Not hardly. Their actions make them children of their God, Satan. (2 Cor. 4:4)

All people are children of God--He created them. But some bigots persist in trying to define those they don't like as being somehow less than human--as not being God's Children.

Surely homosexual atheists don't claim any such rot? But they can't win, can they, because a gay non-believer is doubly damned. Oi oi oi - it must be so awful for you inside that little bubble of righteous hate...sounds like you could do with a good schtuping, that'd chill you out.
