What of anointing oil? I believe in anointing the sick, can you anoint your home too?

I understand the power of healing is strictly through Jesus Christ and his will, but olive oil was used to anoint the sick.

You can use any oil to anoint, if you admit that it is the power of Jesus does the healing.
Anointing materials is justified only in the Old Testament.
In New Testament, the anointing is done by the Holy Spirit [1 John 2:20], such that it is an abuse if used for earthly materials.

If you want your home to be blessed, then I would suggest you gather some friends together and maybe invite your pastor, if you have one, over to pray that God send His annointing down on your house... that is, His blessing.

We Catholics do something similar to this when the priest comes to bless a home. The prayers include asking God to make of the home his dwelling and to be present to all who live in the house, remembering that Jesus came to dwell among us, and, as such, He is truly in our midst.
