Each directory has anything from 20 to 150 files.
A person that believes themselves a Witch may Join a Wiccan Circle/Coven, but Wiccans do not have to be witches. Therefore the studies of the two are separated.
I do wish those of the Bibles, would take time to learn more than what they are told or read from a single Book by reading actual documents of other religions before they get childishly snotty.

Thank you for this question. As far back as I can remember, to be Wiccan was to be a Witch. I know there is a lot of controversy on this issue and here are my thoughts on it. In the beginning was Witchcraft. Witchcraft was Euro-centric. Meaning that was the only place where there was any witchcraft. It was called something else in the rest of the world. To some, witchcraft was the work of Satan. To others it was a way of life, a culture which included spirituality. It was this way for hundreds of years. Along comes Gardner, a practitioner of witchcraft. He set some rules to it and called it Wicca. It was still Euro-centric with a few added tidbits from Crowley and others of his day. Gardner also included ceremony and pomp which lends a religious tone to it. At this point, Wicca was a witchcraft religion. They were one in the same. The exception was the traditional witches who didn't want anything to do with a religion. Thus we have Witchcraft the religion of Wicca and witchcraft the magical craft. This is one reason why there is so much confusion over this. This is why there are still Witches who claim Witchcraft as their religion and Wiccans who claim all Wiccans are Witches and Witches who claim it as nothing more than a learned craft. As for why some Wiccans seperate themselves from witchcraft is because I believe they don't know any better. They have been told over and over again that they can be Wiccan without being a Witch, that they are starting to believe it. This started with a very very small number of folks thinking this way. But it has blossomed into a full blown shisim within Wicca. Now days, most of the people who believe this are people who have been Wiccan less than ten years who have not had the benefit of being raised up by old school Elders. I also think the whole 'PC' movement has taken its toll. The word 'Witch" has serious negative meanings in our society. A lot of people following alternative spiritual paths want to be accepted by the general public so they will deny what they are and say, "I'm just Wiccan, not a witch" What these folks fail to recognize and remember is that every aspect, EVERY aspect, of Wiccan ritual is witchcraft. Cleaning the ritual area is witchcraft Casting the circle is witchcraft Calling the Quarters is witchcraft Invoking the God and Goddess is witchcraft Raising directed energy is witchcraft Performing the Five Fold Kiss is witchcraft The Sacred Incest of the Great Rite is witchcraft Sharing cakes and wine is witchcraft Somehow, I fail to see how Wicca can be seperated from witchcraft

Yes, there should be two different directories since they are differences between Wicca and Witchcraft. Some are:
-Wiccans follow "The Wiccan Red" and "The Law of Three"
-Traditional Witchcraft follows no rede and no Law of 3 but the "Returning Energy" principle.
-Wiccans cast circles and calls the "Watchtowers"
-Witchcraft practitioners summon Guardians
-Wiccans have a "Book of Shadows"
-Witchcrafter practitioners is called a grimoire
Also the rites and practices themselves are different. This also varies on the particular group practicing. Not all Wiccans are Witches and vice versa.

witchcraft and wicca can be joined but they dont have to be, and a witch can be catholic or any other religion if they wish as technically a witch is someone who performs rituals...and what do they do in church? herbalists could be called witches as they behave as a village wise woman would....
A wiccan honours nature but may not do rituals or spells, a pagan may live a life looking after nature but never do rituals.
There are so many different lines within both wicca, witchcraft and paganism that basically its up to the individual.
Personnally I am pagan, I honour a goddess not a god and I vow to do the best I can to look after this planet we call home.

Same here. Most people in the US are pretty much assimilated into the Christian culture and so we know at least something about it, but a lot of Christians don't take the time out to learn about other religions or even non-religions. I myself am not religious, as I have not yet found the religion I fit into.

"but Wiccans do not have to be witches. "
Bless you. Seriously. This is something an awful lot of Wiccans know, but an awful lot of others get wrong....
