Telling God they are a sinner and need his grace, be willing to turn from sin and follow Christ, then accepting Jesus Christ in their heart as their Lord and savior. It really is that simple. Catholics do not preach this, they say you must do what the Catholic Church teaches you, they are in error and following their Catechism and not the Bible. Peace be with you.

Being saved means to make a lifestyle change. It has nothing to do with saying 2 verses and all of a sudden you are OK. You have to truly make a lifestyle change. And being saved is a very old concept. The Original Mason in Kemet had to be raised to the living Perpendicular in order to become one with the 7 stars in Orion's Belt. Being raised to the living Perpendicular is the same as being saved - Saved from the mentally dead. (That is at least 10,000 yrs old) When people say they are Muslim - they truly make a lifestyle change as well. For Catholics - as long as you make a lifestyle change God will know it - you do not have to say 2 verses. "Born Again Christians" are the only ones who can get saved in the morning and then go celebrate at the Bar that night.

One is saved by believing what is stated in the Nicene Creed: that Jesus Christ is the begotten Son of God, incarnated through the Virgin Mary, died for the forgiveness of our sins, resurrected, ascended to heaven and speaks through the Holy Spirit to the one, holy, universal and apostolic Church, whose members look forward to resurrection and eternal life. But we are meant to live in community and relationship, not isolated individuals. And true faith is demonstrated by living a life worthy of it, striving to do as Jesus and the prophets did, comfort the afflicted, afflict the comfortable, and build up a culture of justice and peace.
Catholics believe that Christianity is more than uttering a profession once and presuming one's salvation is guaranteed. Christianity is a relationship, with God and neighbor. We are to bring God's life to people in word and practice, building the kingdom by our acts, like Jesus. Catholics believe in achieving salvation as a community, journeying through our lives toward knowledge and love of God.

The easy answer:
+ Be baptized and spiritually born again
+ Follow the teachings of Jesus Christ
+ Do not commit mortal sin
The complicated answer:
We are already saved:
+ “For in hope we were saved.” (Romans 8:24)
+ “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:5-8)
We are being saved:
+ “He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus.” (1 Corinthians 1:8)
+ “For we are the aroma of Christ for God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” (2 Corinthians 2:15)
+ “So then, my beloved, obedient as you have always been, not only when I am present but all the more now when I am absent, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2:12)
We have the hope that we will be saved:
+ “How much more then, since we are now justified by his lood, will we be saved through him from the wrath. Indeed, if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, once reconciled, will we be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:9-10)
+ “If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire (itself) will test the quality of each one's work. If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. But if someone's work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, but only as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:12-15)
Like the Apostle Paul, we are working out our salvation in “fear and trembling,” (Philippians 2:12) and with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ:
+ “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access (by faith) to this grace in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:2)
+ “This saying is trustworthy: If we have died with him we shall also live with him; if we persevere we shall also reign with him. But if we deny him he will deny us. If we are unfaithful he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. (2 Timothy 2:11–13)
With love in Christ.
