I have so many things to ask my parents for. I am embarrassed easily. I really need/want to wax at least my stomach. I have dark hair and pale skin (usually tanned) and I can see hair in a line from a few inches above my bellybutton to below it. It's gross. If it wasn't brown it wouldn't be such a big deal. I don't want to bleach because I don't know how safe it really is to put on your skin regulary. I also have hairy arms. What do I do about this. The hairs aren't particulary thick but they are long. Should I wax my arms? I don't think my parents would want me to. I would be buying waxing strips or liquid wax (nairs or nads brand). I also have overly hairy (I believe) upper thighs. I shave up to my knees but I haven't worn a bikini in ages because of this problem etc. I don't really want to shave my upperlegs because as it is I shaved my knees and now I have heaps of black spots which are ingrown hairs. What do I do?

My arms are pretty bad. I think I got the "hairy" gene from my parents! My brother has lots of leg hair but very little arm hair (less than most females) while I have more arm hair. My brother who is 17 is always commenting and trying to embarrase me. I hate my arms and all of my hair and flat moles and scars!

My Mum doesn't have hairy thighs like me. I got too many features from my Dad. It's awful. I hate the way I look.

Do bleaches (ones from the supermarket) bleach hair well on arms? I am worried that it will change my arms colour. Will it turn my hairs orange? Will waxing my arsm making them grow back looking darker and thicker in the short term use?

i agree with Jeanne B i to a stylist, the hair will eventually stop growing. Nair dose not work what a waste of money ether do it right or don't be worried about it, as Jeanne B said is is costly but well worth it i know because i do it on my self and i have less thick hair and spots wont grow back. also you might only have to do it once a month to about two and a half months. make sure you go to someone who is clean and sanitized and knows what they r doing.

Depilatory creams have some strong chemicals in them, so allergic reactions and burns can happen. But if your skin tolerates them, they are good for temporary results. You must continue to use them if you want to keep the hair away, so you must be able to afford them.
Waxing is also expensive, but if you have it done professionally over the course of two years, it might not need to be done any more. It is not called a method of permanent hair removal, but it can be. That's pretty expensive, too. I don't know how much Nads cost, so I cannot remark on them.
Only if wearing a bikini becomes vitally important to you would I recommend any hair removal method above your knees. That just adds more cost, and sometimes mild injury (like the burns of waxing, or the chemical burns of depilatory creams.) Don't do any of these things if your parents don't approve, you will be old enough to make those decisions soon enough. Then you can decide what you want to spend money on, as well.

What about using nair hair remover. A lot less painful than waxing your arms, and stomach Wont get razor burn either.

I use it on my arms, I never had thick or dark hair but I just never liked having hair on my arms.

give it a try

dont wax your arms. leave em be. you'll ruin yourself. it'll be hard to take care of becuz they WILL grow darker, etc. like your legs do. just bleach. it's not that hard to do. you'll be doing it every few months or so so it's not a big deal. but if you must use nair. it won't make your hair all stubby and gross when it grows back. hope this helps. try asking your mom for advice too. she might be of help.
