My husband had colon surgery to remove a large polyp in his lower colon; difficult surgery. Then emergency surgury two weeks later as he wasn't healed and his bowels were leaking inside. Then he got his colostomy bag which was 6 months ago. He lost 32 pounds the first time being in the hospital three weeks. It was rough. I just don't want him to go through so much again yet he wants it off. His doctor said it will be easier but I worry..thanks.

It is another major surgery, but it is one that he can recouperate from This time having surgery he will be going in to it healthier than he did when he did when he had the leaky bowel.

He should do great.
