Office Includes programs like Word & Excel, while Works has simple applications for word processing and some limited spreashseet work, but the files are not exactly compatible. Get Office if you can, it's worth the extra money, and it pretty much the standard for business work.

Cheers!

Well find out wether or not its just a trial of office. Cause if it is, just keep works for when it runs out. But if its a complete copy off office, you should stick with that and get rid of works to save netbook space. Microsoft Works is just a lite version of Office theres no word art, or shape drawing or other fun things you probably use in word and stuff.

Office has more useful programs other than Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, it has Publisher where u can create ur own posters and other stuff... there's also OneNote, Access, and FrontPage, you maybe don't use all of these programs, but even if you just use word or excel only... there's a BIG deference between word in office and in works. especially the Office 2007, it's all new!!

Microsoft works is a more generic set of programs... They aren't as user friendly as office but they tend to work just as well once you learn to use them.
