Go to the doctor to get a diagnosis. See if it is alright to try yoga. It can really help. Also, go to a chiropractor who uses an activator. They are very gentle.

I would say switch up your workout routine if you have one or see if there is anything in your daily routine that could be contributing to your pain. Try sleeping in a different position and use pillows to add extra support (under your legs, under your lower back, or belly), try taking some pain medicine before bed, and use a cold compress. If none of this helps see a chiropractor or orthopedic doctor. Hope this helps you.

Maybe it's your mattress. I would go to an upper-cervical chriopractor---not a bone popper. I have gone and it has really helped. If I over-do and have a regular backache, I take Aleve (or a generic brand of Aleve) It always works. If this is a new problem you might have a urinary tract infection. Any Temp? Check with a Dr.

I have the same problem. You should go to see your primary care Dr. and see if you may need to start physical therapy. Usually back problems are due to poor stomach/ab muscles..maybe starting a new excercise routine...Also, your Dr. may be able to prescribe you some meds until you can strengthen your muscles and get a rid of the pain.

I would stretch out every night before you get into bed, Do you have and exercise ball? IF you dont I would get ONE! they help you stretch your back with out high impact, you can just lay on in and roll back and forth and it does the work for you. I would search yahoo for some easy back stretches to do berfore bed. ALSO i would try to do some back exercises your back may be weak and if your using your muscles more they aren't prepared for it! HOPE every thing gets better back pain sucks, personal experince!

I can't lay flat on my stomach or flat on my back, I have to be curved or twisted or something.
Take some pain medication and go to bed. Try a new position. If you're laying on your stomach, put a pillow under your stomach to add some curvature.
