If you go to the true church there is nothing wrong. There is only one church built by God. You must search.

1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1Th 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

No it isn't wrong. You should go to church where you feel most comfortable and where you will grow the MOST spiritually. That is the important part - growing. Always remember that no matter what church you are going to we are all trying to get to the same goal so where you worship at doesn't matter as long as you are doing it by God and by His word.
Some of my friends went through something similar. They starting attending another church while they were still a member at their "home" church. Many people at their "home" church got mad because they thought that she was just leaving because she felt like or that she was leaving to go to be with her boy friend. This wasn't the case at all. She actually was growing more at one church rather than the other. After she explained this to the people that were mad at her most of them calmed down and understood. I
f the people who are mad or disappointed in you or w/e you want to call it don't stop being mad at you after you give them your reason for changing churches than you know they aren't exactly the best Christians supporters in the world.

If you are truly searching for Truth, then no, you are not wrong. If you are just playing around, then it requires more thought.

Did you pledge membership at the first church? Did you agree to tithe or give offerings? Did you promise to work in ministry or do things to spread the word of God?

If you made any of these pledges or promises to your first church, and then are going to this other church and not fulfilling your promises to the first one, then you need to do some serious thinking.

If the other church is a more biblically based truth telling church, why not just change your membership? Make it official, so the first church does not have to wonder.

If there are other reasons, explore them, and do what your heart tells you to do.

The division in the church is carnal (worldly) in itself. When you was baptized, were you baptized in the name of East View Baptist Church? Were you even baptized in the name of Garden Heights? This line of questions will become clear when You read 1 Corinthians 1:13 "Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?"
The thing is that Christ is not divided. The church was never supposed to be either. I believe that we need to let go of all these man made divisions of the body of Christ and get back to the word of God.

When you join a church(I know we do), you get in front of the church and repeat after the pastor to do all that you can for God and to be loyal in the church services. If you are going t someone else's church instead of going to your own, you are not fulfilling you obligation you gave your oath to. It is not wrong to simply visit another church. But remember where your loyalties are suppose to be. If you feel you are growing at the new church, move your membership. May God Bless U.

In my opinion I believe it is okay that u go visit another church even if u have a church home. U may have a close friend who is church hunting but doesn't want to go by themselves and would like the support of a friend. Also, church homes as a whole go and visit other churches and although in this case the church goes as a whole, the essence of being able to go out and visit is the same. In my experience though, it is best if you communicate with ure pastor so that he/she may pray for you while ure out visiting. This covers u and shows respect.

you're asking the incorrect man or woman. i think of a church that encourages that's individuals to dress lavishly and all that's no longer a church in any respect yet a variety of social gathering based around an ideologically techniques-numbing psychological fabrication. The fabrication of the dogmatic version of Jesus Christ as lawmaker. in my view i could bypass to a detrimental church, or one that is amazingly known in a extra down-to-earth community. in a roundabout way I wager that that church in all probability might desire to do lots extra with that's funds for the detrimental than that's doing. If the extremely some poorer working type church homes had extra funds they could do extra for the detrimental, as they already do lots. of direction i'm generalizing.

No, God never told anyone to be a 'member' at any church. These are people, human beings, telling you that you are doing wrong. As long as you are attending a church and worshipping God, in His eyes, you're fine.

When you go to church, it's not about who sees you there or what other people think. It's about you and God and your relationship with each other. In my book, church=church as long as you're going thats what counts. Somehow I doubt God will think any less of you just for going to a different church.
