No. I don't believe a just God would make someone suffer for eternity for mistakes make in a short lifetime. I also think heaven/hell is too black and white. Most people don't deserve hell, but at the same time most people don't deserve heaven either (all those people that you are thinking will 'get theres' someday, but really don't belong in hell either)
I also find it funny that the first mention of hell is in the new testament. (Matt 25:24) Did God create hell when Jesus came around? Where did everyone do before then? If there was hell then, why didn't God tell them about it an all those years?
I don't know what I do believe. I think reincarnation of some sort is the way to go. I think we have lessons to learn on earth and if we don't learn them the first time around then I think we come back to try to learn them.

Definitely: I'll go here if I die right now. It's the common grave of all mankind. No more. Hellfire is a lie, made popular since the poem by Dante: "The Inferno".
The churches having held this fear over the heads of the faithful to control them. This is blasphemy! If Bible literacy had not been successfully banned for centuries everyone would have learned what everyone can now learn -
THE TRUTH (proven in): Eccl 9:5,10 3:19 Ez. 18:4 Gen.3:19 Psalm 146:4 John 11:11-14 Ps. 13:3
Also, why would poor, pitiful Job pray to go to hell? Job 14:13

I don't believe in Hell. I believe that when a human being dies, that's the end of it. We're not special, just very, very fortunate primates.
I have always been impressed, though, by the observation that those people who believe in Hell are always of the opinion that someone other than they will be going there.

gim: "Hell" is translated in the New Testament, from the initial Greek writing as "hades" - meaning, a hole or a grave. The concept of "Hell", as an ever-burning fire where "sinners" go to for eternity, is an invention, conjured up by the ancient Egyptians to exercise control over the masses. Later, in history, the Greeks adopted this fear religion, and applied this "Hell" as an ever-burning fire for those, who didn't conform to their leaders. In the Book of Revelation, 20th chapter, verse 14 - you have "hell" being cast into "the lake of fire". How can you have "hell" - as a place where sinners go to forever, being cast into a "lake of fire" - which would annul it and defeat its purpose for being in the first place? You can not have it both ways ! As a Christian, I do not accept the existence of "hell" as being a punishment for sinners - as most churches claim. This concept is very bad theology. I believe that God is in the saving business and ultimately, everyone ever born will have his or her chance at salvation.(Isaiah chapter 2 , verse 2) & Revelation, chapter 21, verse 3)

there are 3 words in the Bible which are translated as "hell"
Sheol
Gehenna
Hades
Sheol = the grave
Gehenna = a literal place where trash was burned into ashes in Biblical times
Hades = the Greek equivalent to the Hebrew word Sheol
so, no I dont believe in "hell"
God is Love and He created everything
He would not create a place of eternal suffering and torment for humans
there is the symbolic "lake of fire" but if you think about it, what would happen to you in a lake on fire? you would drown beneath or burn above... either way you would be dead, not eternally suffering, just dead... non-existant

I believe Hell is a complete separateness from God. Those who have lived their lives not wanting to have anything to do with God, who wanted God to leave them alone, spent their whole lives on themselves, will get exactly what they want. They get to continue their existence totally apart from God. That is Hell.

I believe only in heaven for the human being and hell is not what comes after the end of life. It appears in existing life too.

I believe what the Bible itself indicates about hell, that it is simply the common grave of mankind ... cessation of all life.

If thrown on the ground for too long without proper disposal, my body will begin to break down creating a horrendous smell, which will attract flies. They will lay eggs, which will hatch into maggots which will eat whatever has begun to rot. In the meantime, birds will be eating whatever they can steal away from raccoons or larger scavengers. What is left is deposited into the ground...
